Description
This boutique tiny home is situated in the picturesque Upper Valley of Vermont. The nearly 50 acres of private land is equal parts woods and water. You will wake to the mooing of dairy cows. Have your coffee on the porch while watching birds dive for their breakfast on the pond. Inside you will find every modern amenity. A fully appointed chef's kitchen. A living area filled with comfy furnishings and a cozy fireplace. Upstairs is a queen bedroom with an ensuite double showered bathroom. Heaven! Guest access The Little House is solely for the use of my guests when they arrive. There are two buildings on the property, The Little House is the first building that you come to and that is yours for the length of your visit. The Barn is just a bit further down the road and where I will be during your visit. The property is a just shy of 50 acres and I welcome my guest to explore as much or as little as you like. The trails on the property are NOT marked. Both The Little House and The Barn are situated next to beautiful ponds. As beautiful as the water is, I ask that you DO NOT swim or boat in either pond. There are an abundance of birds and animals that live here year round, including bald eagles, osprey, wood ducks, herons, mink, otter, etc. I have found that human activity in the ponds tends to inhibit the birds’ activity so again I ask that guests do not use the ponds for recreational activities. Gorgeous Lake Fairlee is two miles up the road and is magnificent for boating, fishing, swimming, etc. Treasure Island is the public swimming beach. Fairlee Marine will rent and deliver just about any type of water craft you desire. In the spring and summer, the field across from The Little House is planted with corn for the farmer’s cows. Please do not go into the field when it is planted. It is not my property. In winter, bring your ice skates and if the ice is thick enough we’ll have a skating area cleared on the pond near The Barn. The pond near The Little House is NOT safe for skating as there is flowing water under the ice making it unstable. Please ask about the ice conditions prior to skating.
