Our Country Cabin get-away is perfect for those looking to get out of the city and back to nature for a short or extended stay! Enjoy a little winter getaway and share our paradise in the countryside and be part of it all. You’ll love our location, full kitchen, access to a wood fire pit, propane bbq(propane provided), wifi internet, 40" Smart TV, three piece bathroom, laundry facilities and more. The space Country Farm Cabin for Long / Short Stays LOCATION Located on our 100 acres working family farm property (no farm animals) with 40 acres of bush area tucked away on our private hilltop location and yet just 10 min. from Hwy 400, our space lets you get away from it all while still close to all you need. Our Country Cabin is NOT secluded in our bush but a few minute walk away with access to a few different walking trails. The big picturesque windows showcase our beautiful flower gardens, stunning farmers fields plus our century farm house, our country Suite and rustic wedding and event barn in the distance. THE SPACE Our Country Cabin is just 2 rooms, a spacious open concept area which shares the kitchen/eating area, TV viewing and sleeping area. The second room is a large updated bathroom with laundry facilities. THE SLEEPING SPACE It includes a comfy king bed, a black leather double pull out sofa bed and a black leather single love seat pullout sofa bed (all linens provided), the TV/ sitting area plus a full kitchen/dining area all in the same room. There are not separate sleeping areas. Please note that all 3 beds are in the same room. KITCHEN The Kitchen area includes a full size stainless steel refrigerator, stainless steel Kenmore induction oven and stovetop, microwave, electric kettle, Keurig (pods provided) blender, coffeemaker and popcorn maker. It also includes all the pots, pans, cookie sheets, pizza pan, and all the dishes, glassware and cutlery that you need. Salt and pepper, cooking oil, tea bags, Keurig pods and sugar packets provided) Our tap water is drinkable!! WASHROOM AND LAUNDRY Enjoy our three piece washroom (bath towels, hand towels and face cloths along with shampoo, condition, and body soap provided) and Maytag stackable washer and dryer. Laundry pods provided for short stays Our washroom features 48"glass shower with built-in niche, toilet, vanity and lighted mirror with built-in bluetooth speaker. In keeping with our property's "green" theme and giving it some rustic chic, we are featuring our own barn board (taken from our barn renovation project from a few years ago) and reclaimed wood paneling acquired from a home being demolished.. ENTERTAINMENT Entertainment now includes a large 43" 4K Samsung Smart TV with free access to Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and AppleTV+, Spotify, and internet while featuring Apple TV (AirPlay) / iOS and Android casting plus our own TV and video library via PLEX. PARKING There is an assigned Country Cabin parking area behind the unit for easy access. PETS - please add to reservation!! Pets are welcome at our Country Suite but please remember to add your pets to your reservation as there is additional $40 pet cleaning fee charged. We kindly ask that you pick up after your dog during your stay and please make sure to use the pet cloths provided at the front entrance to wipe their wet or dirty paws. Dogs are not allowed on beds and should remain on-leash while outdoors. There are a few walking paths in our bush that you are welcome to use to walk your dog. LADYBUGS, FLIES and MICE We do our best to limit them as much as possible with various fly, bug and mouse traps inevitably there might be some during your stay. NO SMOKING There is absolutely NO smoking of any kind allowed inside the Country Cabin. Smoking is allowed outside, we please ask that you place cigarette butts in container provided on the picnic table. ( if can't find container, please ask) GREEN FACTS Our property featuring 60 KW of solar electricity generation supplying this green energy to the electricity grid. We have also done extensive green building projects on the property including a home addition to the property's century farm house using many strategies and products that significantly reduce our carbon foot print and reduce our energy usage. Guest access As a rural property, we have lots of outdoor space. You have access to a fire pit in front of the cabin ($12 / bag of firewood), walking trails through our 40 acre tree bush lot, and picnic tables (seasonal). The quiet traffic area is perfect for biking with most roads paved. During the winter, enjoy skiing, snowshoeing and more (you need to bring your own gear). In the cabin, enjoy a smart 40" TV featuring YouTube and Netflix access and wireless internet access. Other things to note Shared Property with other Buildings- Not Secluded The Country Cabin is NOT secluded but shares our farm property with 3 other rental spaces including our Country Suite, Barn Studio and Tiny Home plus our rustic wedding and event barn. The other rental units are nicely spread out on our farm property to allow privacy for all the units. The Cabin is in view of our Country Suite and our farmhouse and vice versa. All of our units have blinds for privacy. NOTE: Please see photos of our property in the additional photos section and in the backyard photos section to visually see the property and the locations of the other units. We do ask all our guests to respect the privacy of the other rentals spaces during their stay. There will be other guests and our family and staff on the property during your stay. Our Family Farm house and our Wedding and Event Barn (Fermanagh Farms) also shares the property. Our busy wedding season is May til November. We will make guess aware if there is an event going on at the property upon booking. We do wedding tours mostly on the weekends for perspective couples interested in our event space and property. This should not interfere with your stay as we do our utmost to respect our guests privacy. Ladybugs, Flies and Mice We do our best to deal with bugs, flies, ladybugs and mice with traps but inevitably there will be some even after we have done a full clean. Note that the cabin is NOT by a lake or river and does NOT have a pool or other area to swim. (40 minutes from Centennial Beach in Barrie or 30 minutes from Innisfil Beach) LOCATION We are located about 15 min. from Canada's Wonderland and are perfectly suited as your home-base for a weekend trip to Wonderland. We are also located 15 min. from the Palgrave / Caledon Equestrian Park and have room for horse trailers. We are also open to camper trailers that wish to join cabin renters and can provide electricity. It is perfect for those showing horses or visiting the Park! We are also located 15 min. from the North Toronto K9 Centre in King Township and the Tamsu Learning near Tottenham.
