Welcome to the Midtown Bungalow! Built in 1930 and completely updated in 2018, our home features vintage styling with polished modern conveniences and artsy touches. Just a mile from U of O campus and a few blocks from downtown, our place is perfectly located for families, adventurers, and business travelers alike. Walk to restaurants, bars, and shopping, relax by the gas fire pit on the shaded patio, stream your favorite shows, and sink into the luxury beds for a good night’s sleep. The space The 2-bdrm Midtown Bungalow is clean, bright, and well-equipped with all of the comforts of home. It is the two-bedroom version of the downstairs unit in our duplex, the upstairs of which is our other Airbnb property, the "Bright and Colorful Upstairs Apartment." Check out its 500+ reviews! As you enter through the wooden gate in the back, you'll see a tree-shaded deck with an outdoor dining setup, lounge, and gas fire pit. Kick back and relax after a day of exploring the mountains or the coast. The kitchen is fully stocked and equipped with quartz countertops and stainless steel appliances. We welcome you to prepare meals here and will find utensils, cookware, and dishes in the cabinets. We'll also provide you with tea and locally roasted coffee so you can start your day with a fresh cup of joe! The kitchen opens to the dining area, featuring a bar-height dining table. We frequently visit Mexico so you'll see some colorful touches from our trips decorating the space. Down the hall, Bedroom 1 features a luxurious king-size bed with plush pillows and a down comforter. USB outlets for your devices are conveniently located on both bed stands, and you’ll have a closet and dresser space for storage. Open the blackout curtains and let the afternoon sun trickle in! Bedroom 2 opens off the dining room and features a queen-size bed, East-facing windows with blackout curtains, and a closet to store your belongings. Step around the corner into the bright living room with East and South facing windows that takes in sunlight all day long. The couch pulls out to sleep another adult (Tempurpedic topper provided). The bathroom has a shower and tub combo, tile floors, and a below-vanity heater that will keep your toes warm on cool mornings. You'll find plenty of towels and linens for your use in the hallway cabinet. Families - Please inquire about a pack-and-play if you need one! Our home is equipped with Xfinity high-speed wifi, and you'll find both an Xfinity Flexbox and a Chromecast for streaming your favorite shows on the flat-screen TV in the living room. **We unfortunately cannot accommodate any service animals due to our extreme allergies to animal skin cells, saliva and urine. Airbnb customer support knows about this regarding our properties. Guest access It’s all yours! You'll have one parking space available off the alley in the gravel lot. There is also plenty of street parking along Oak Street. Other things to note The upstairs half of our bungalow is our other Airbnb listing, so you may hear footsteps above you at times (quiet hours begin at 10pm). When you arrive, pull into the alley off of Oak Street that runs between the light-colored apartment complex and our brown 1930s house. You'll see a gravel parking area behind the house, and your dedicated space is next to the wooden stairs that lead up to the apartment. There's plenty of parking along the street in front if you have more than one car. We also offer secure bike storage if you need it! We don’t allow pets or smoking inside the apartment.
