Cozy cottage on a river plot in a secluded location

Welcome to Fjällbostugan, your private paradise on a secluded river plot with the forest as a neighbor. Enjoy the view of the river from the cabin, your own sauna/dock, take a dip or a boat or canoe trip in the peaceful Svartälven. Go paddleboarding, sunbathe, read a book and enjoy the view and tranquility. Proximity to nature reserves, berry and mushroom picking, fishing and swimming areas with sandy beach. Also close to the cozy town of Grythyttan with cobblestone streets, service, café, gelateria and high-class gastronomy. The space 30 square meters simple cottage built in 1899, 1.5 rooms with small sleeping loft. Refreshed with retained character. Sofa bed for 2 people in the living room, wood-burning stove and TV. Sleeping loft with two mattresses (2x90 cm), space for 2 people. Small window for ventilation and view of the plot. View of the peaceful river from the cabin. Only a train that is heard briefly as it passes sporadically on the other side of the river. Fresh but small kitchen with dining table for a maximum of four people, cold water in the kitchen from its own well. (Please note that the water is iron-rich and not recommended for drinking, which is the cause of some discoloration in the bathroom. It is good for showering and washing dishes.) Drinking water - you can refill the water in the jug at the gas station or buy it in a store in the nearby area. Toilet and shower with hot water in the bathroom. Glazed conservatory with sliding doors and views of the river. Lounge set and dining table with seating for 4-6 people. (This is the favorite room to eat breakfast, coffee and dinner). Terraces with seating on both sides of the house. Outdoor kitchen on the front with the possibility to prepare food and wash dishes outdoors (which is preferred). Access to the sun in all directions. Private jetty, swimming ladder, solar-heated outdoor shower and private sauna in the former food cellar. Hammock to hang between the trees in the shade on a warm summer day overlooking the peaceful river. Access to your own rowing boat, several life jackets (from 20-100 kg), two canoes, two paddleboards and two bicycles (adult). If you want to do activities other than hiking, fishing, sauna, paddling, rowing or swimming, there are both kubb, ping-pong or other ball games as well as card games, chess, etc. to borrow from the storage room or borrow our two yoga mats for some yoga! If you're lucky, you might see a moose swim across the river during a canoe trip like one of our previous guests did last summer! Regardless of the weather, the sunroom, sauna or a dip in the river is a favorite where you can see the sun shine in the river from morning to night! Guest access Guests have access to the entire home and plot with the exception of a smaller part of the storage building. Other things to note * One basket of firewood is included. If you need more, you can pick up in our barn, we will charge you SEK 140 per basket. Let us know when you leave how many baskets of firewood you have used (indoors or in the sauna) and we will charge you via Airbnb. You can also buy firewood at Vedpoolen nearby. * Duvets and pillows for 4 people are included, as well as a kitchen towel and small hand towel. Bed linens and bath towels are not included but can be rented for SEK 200/person for the full stay. * The water should not be drunk but is fine for showering, dishes, etc. There are jugs in the cabin that you can refill yourself. * There is an electric car charger for electric car, charging is free for charging at night between 11:00 pm - 5:00 am, let us know if you have any other needs. * Small rodents are a natural part of the Swedish rural ecosystem. The cottage is over 100 years old and not completely sealed, so sometimes it gets visits from mice, especially when it's cold outside. We have done our best to ensure cleanliness and hygiene, but we want you to be aware that a sporadic visit is possible. We have never seen them but it happens that you can find traces that a mouse has been visiting, mainly in the kitchen. To minimize visits: - Please make sure to keep all packaging sealed. This applies to both food packaging and other waste. Mice are curious by nature and can be drawn to areas where they can find easily accessible food. - Keep the areas where you eat and store food clean and free of food leftovers. - Clean up after yourself and use the designated containers for garbage and recycling and dispose of the garbage before departure. * The area is one of Sweden's best for fishing. Children under the age of 18 fish for free in all lakes. To fish in the river, a fishing license is needed and for lakes with game fish, another slightly more expensive fishing license. You can buy a fishing license on the internet, search for a Hällefors fishing license. They can also be purchased at gas stations. To fish in the river, you need the cheaper card called "Natural waters".
