Cozy cottage on a river plot in a secluded location

Welcome to Fjällbostugan, your private paradise on a protected fairy plot with the forest as a neighbor. Enjoy the view of the river from the cottage, own sauna/jetty, take a swim or a boat or canoe ride in the peaceful Black River. Go paddleboarding, sunbathe, read a book and enjoy the view and tranquility. Proximity to nature reserve, berry and mussel picking, fishing and swimming areas with sandy beach. Also close to the cozy resort of Grythyttan with cobblestone streets, service, café, gelateria and high-class gastronomy. The space 30 square meters single cabin built in 1899, 1.5 rooms with small sleeping loft. Refreshed with maintained character. Sofa bed with room for 2 people in the living room, wood-burning stove and TV. Sleeping loft with two mattresses (2x90 cm), room for 2 people. Small window for airing and views of the plot. View of the peaceful river from the cabin. Only one train can be heard briefly as it passes sporadically on the other side of the river. Fresh but small kitchen with dining table for max four people, retracted cold water in kitchen from own well. (Please note that the water is ironed and not recommended to drink, which is the cause of some discoloration in the bathroom. You can shower in and wash dishes with.) Drinking water - can refill water in the can at the gas station or buy in a store in the vicinity. Toilet and shower with hot water in the bathroom. Glazed patio with sliding doors and views of the river. Lounge set and dining table with seating for 4-6 people. (This is the favorite room to have breakfast, coffee and dinner). Balconies with seating on both sides of the house. Outdoor kitchen in the front with the ability to prepare food as well as dishes outdoors (as preferred). Access to sun in all directions. Own jetty, bathing ladder, solar heated outdoor shower and own sauna in former food cellar. The hammock to hang between the trees in the shade on a hot summer day overlooking the peaceful river. Access to own rowing boat, several life vests (from 20-100kg), two canoes, two paddleboards and two bikes (adult). If you want to do other activities than hiking, fishing, sauna, paddle, row or swim, there are both kubb, ping pong or other ball games as well as card games, chess etc to borrow from the storage room or borrow our two yoga mats for some yoga! If you're lucky, you might see a moose swimming across the river during a canoe trip like one of our previous guests did this summer! No matter the weather, the outdoor space, sauna or a dip in the river is a favorite where you can see the sun glowing in the river from morning to night! Guest access Guests have access to the entire home and grounds with the exception of a smaller part of the storage building. Other things to note * A basket of firewood is included. If you need more you can pick up in our barn, we will then charge you SEK 140 per basket. Let us know when you go how many baskets you know you used (in the house or in the sauna) and will charge you through Airbnb. You can also buy firewood at the Vedpoolen nearby. * Duvets and pillows for 4 people are included, as well as kitchen towel and small towel. Bed linens and bath towels are not included but can be rented for SEK 200/person for the entire stay. * The water should not be drunk but is fine for showering, dishes etc. There are cans in the cabin that you can refill yourself. * There is an electric car charger for electric cars, charging is free of charge for charging at night between 11 pm - 5 am, please let us know if you have additional needs. * Small makers are a natural part of the Swedish rural ecosystem. The cottage is over 100 years old and not completely dense, therefore it sometimes happens that it gets a visit from mice, mainly when it is cold outside. We have done our best to ensure cleanliness and hygiene but we would like you to be aware that a sporadic visit is possible. We have never seen them but there are traces that a mouse has been visiting, mainly in the kitchen. To minimize visits: - Be sure to keep all packages closed. This applies to both food packaging and other garbage. Mice are curious by nature and can be drawn to areas where they can find easily accessible food. - Please keep the areas where you eat and keep food clean and free of food leftovers. - Please clean after yourself and use the designated containers for garbage and recycling and dispose of the garbage before departure. * The area is one of Sweden's best for fishing. Children under 18 fish for free in all lakes. To fish in the river, a fishing license is needed and for lakes with noble fish another slightly more expensive fishing license. You can buy a fishing license on the internet, search for a fishing license Hällefors. They can also be purchased at gas stations. To fish in the river you need the cheaper card called "Natural Water".
