The small villages of Lofthouse and Middlesmoor are only approx a mile away, both have village pubs. Scar House Reservoir is a great place to walk. The reservoir and moorlands sustain a wide range of birds like Curlew, Black Grouse and Hen Harriers, making them a nationally important habitat.
