This cozy cabin in Stone Lake provides a true sense of the tranquil life in the Northwoods and is the perfect spot for your getaway! The cabin faces West on the charming and spring fed Slim Lake (great for swimming, recreation, and fishing). You can enjoy a morning coffee on either the deck or beautiful three season porch overlooking the water. It is a perfect spot for families and friends to make great memories at any time of the year! The space The cabin welcomes you into a gorgeous open kitchen and living space with vaulted ceilings and large windows overlooking the lake. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances and coffee pot, dining room table that seats 6, along with barstool seating and highchair. The spacious family room includes a cozy wood burning fireplace, with pull out couch and a 32” TV. Both bedrooms offer queen size beds, while the bathroom includes a full shower and bathtub. The loft or three season porch both make great spots for additional sleeping space. Outside you will enjoy a dining table, as well as outdoor furniture for sitting around the campfire. There is also a glider bench (great for sipping your morning coffee!) as well as bench seating on the lakeside dock. We offer plenty of life jackets, indoor board games, outdoor yard games, propane gas grill, two kayaks, huge lily pad, and many children’s toys for your enjoyment. Guest access The cabin offers all the conveniences you need to make the most of your time on Slim Lake- WiFi, TV, plenty of dishware and kitchen supplies (paper towels, trash bags, dish soap, etc.). Bathroom, kitchen, and swimming towels are provided. All beds are provided with clean linens and comforters as well as extra blankets if needed. Other things to note Located on ATV/UTV/Snowmobile trails or bring your mountain/gravel bikes to enjoy some challenging riding straight from the cabin. Short drive to Butternut Hills golf course and Perlick Distillery. Great bars/restaurants/coffee shops nearby, which we are happy to provide recommendations for our favorites! The 200 acre full recreational lake has a public boat launch for anyone wanting to dock their own boat on our dock. The cabin is also a short driving distance to Hayward and Birchwood, providing close access to Cranberry Fest, Musky Fest, the American Birkebeiner and more! A Note on the Wild Side of Paradise: Because we are nestled deep within the Northwoods, we live in harmony with the seasons. To ensure you have the best experience, please keep the following in mind: -Winter Magic: Heavy snowfall creates a stunning winter wonderland, but it can also make travel and maintenance a bit of an adventure. While the access road to the cabin & the cabin driveway will be plowed, we cannot guarantee when plowing will be completed and smaller vehicles without 4 wheel/AWD drive may experience challenges. -Summer Breezes & Storms: Occasional passing storms are part of the landscape and, in rare instances, may knock down trees and cause temporary power outages. Please also note the cabin does not have A/C. We rely on the shade of the towering pines and the natural cross-breezes from the lake to keep things cool. There are ceiling fans in the living room, each bedroom, and three season porch and a pedestal fan is also provided. Because we prioritize peace and privacy over proximity to town, please be aware that repairs or snow removal can sometimes take longer than they would in a suburban area. We see these moments not as inconveniences, but as a chance to lean into the authentic cabin lifestyle—lighting a fire, playing a board game by candlelight, and enjoying the stillness that only a remote retreat can provide. The cabin is stocked with firewood, candles, flashlights, basic first aid supplies, and a battery charger/jump starter so you can stay cozy and comfortable no matter what the Northwoods throws your way.
