Hosts, Benoît & Kathleen offer a 1 bedroom suite with private bath in their home on Ottawa River. Ideal for a regular commuter within the region or for relaxing weekend getaway. A delicious breakfast is included in the per night price, and can be enjoyed on a private patio in good weather. The kitchen is Not available for guest use. A beautiful country setting with free parking, enjoy seasonal activities on site or nearby. Maximum 2 guests. Note: 8 stairs. During your stay -This listing is offered as a quiet getaway. I am available when needed, however, I like to give my guests space in order for them to relax, so it is not our routine to socialize for lengthy periods with guests. -Some recommendations were from our summertime guests who enjoyed the use of the entire house while we were away. During the colder seasons we are back at home and hosting a maximum of 2 guests. The bedroom listed is in the walkout level which is accessed by the east patio door. The common area downstairs is also designated for guest use. (There may be a very rare occasion where we would use the office desk, but only during daytime hours.) -INDOORS: Consider bringing a book you've been meaning to read for inclement weather. For movies, bring your device and use the wifi here to log into your favourite provider. There is also a piano, a guitar, board games and puzzles here for guest use. -OUTDOORS: 2 kayaks with lifejackets are available until mid-October, according to winds and weather. Perhaps bring along your bikes to enjoy a long ride or walk on country roads. If you like fires there is a firepit at the river...bring warm outdoor clothing! On certain nights the stars are brilliant here. FOOD: Breakfast is included in the nightly price. -There is a good variety of restaurants in the surrounding area. -NOTE: The kitchen/barbeque is Not available for guests to prepare their own food. However, we can microwave your takeout and store your food items in our fridge. -NOTE: Due to allergies this property is Scent-Free. Please do Not spray perfumes/colognes in the house. -NOTE: No Incense, No candles (no scented/no unscented).
