The space This one-bedroom garage apartment is thoughtfully set up with everything you need for a comfortable short or extended stay. The bed features an egg-crate topper with an additional plush layer, along with multiple pillows and blankets for personalized comfort. The bedroom includes a ceiling fan, and an additional pedestal fan is available for airflow and light background noise if desired. The living area is a peaceful place to unwind. I often clean the space with the windows open and the ceiling fan on. The fold out couch provides space for two other people. Comfortable for two kids, but two adults might work as well. You’ll also find a record player with Bluetooth speakers, allowing you to enjoy a few vintage records provided or stream music from your phone. I’m slowly growing the collection and love sharing it with guests. During warmer months, cooling is provided by window A/C units. Please note: the wall unit is heat only. Guests are also welcome to enjoy our eight acres of private land located behind the house. The property includes an open field with a creek winding through it—perfect for a peaceful walk or taking a morning cup of coffee outdoors. Please be mindful of the beehives on the property and keep a safe distance from them at all times. Because this is private property, we do ask that guests let us know in advance if they plan to walk the field or visit the creek. Our neighbors keep a close eye on the area, and you may occasionally see them walking their dog or tending to the land. Love antiques ? We have two shops. The Mason Jar (huge store), walking distance from the mothman statue. And New To You beside the railroad tracks The best Kids consignment shop in the area ! Babies and Beyond. Beside the basketball courts. Lots of inventory ! Well organized. Recently switched to Frontier 2GB Fiber. Guest access Parking is available directly in front of the garage apartment, in front of the two white doors—either space may be used. Guests have full access to the entire upstairs apartment. A private deck off the kitchen/dining area offers a peaceful spot to relax and occasionally watch deer in the evenings. Check-in is simple and contact-free. On the day of arrival, I’ll send clear, step-by-step instructions for accessing the apartment. Other things to note Winter Weather & Safety During snowy or icy conditions, please use caution on the steps leading to the apartment. A broom is provided to clear snow from the steps, and salt is available by the door if needed. Please use the handrail at all times in winter weather. If you need the parking area or steps shoveled, don’t hesitate to let us know—we’re happy to help. Flexible Check-Out (Weather Dependent) If winter weather makes travel unsafe and there is no booking scheduled the following day, we may be able to offer a later check-out. This is extended at our discretion and will be communicated directly if available. Guest safety always comes first.
