The views from the beechmont plateau are breathtaking and our cottage is a comfy place to return to after a day checking out what the scenic rim has to offer! The space The cottage is open plan with separate bathroom There is a big comfy king bed to snuggle into The veranda opens to a lovely deck under a canopy of leaves overlooking our tree lined garden Guest access I will be here to greet and direct guests to cottage Parking is available next to cottage Other things to note The cottage has a big comfortable king size bed There is a warming gas heater on the deck to keep our guests toasty on winter nights and on summer nights provides a lovely place to relax and enjoy the cool summer breezes and the beautiful glow of the amazing sunsets In the cottage kitchen our guests will find a pod coffee machine ( with pods provided), kettle, toaster, oven and good sized fridge We provide milk, juice, fruit and bread with condiments to make crunchy toast to have with your tea or coffee before heading out for the day Beechmont does not have a supermarket or a petrol station and there are no uber or taxi services so keep that in mind If guests are wanting to eat out there are a few options The Flying Bean Cafe is just across the road and they have awesome food and coffee with a spectacular view to boot (open 6.30 till 2.30 Thursday to Sunday) The Tea House at Binna Burra is 10 mins away and guests can go for a walk in the rainforest then pop into the tea house for a coffee and cake or a light meal… in winter you can sit on the comfy lounge and warm your cockles by the fire or on the deck overlooking the spectacular Numinbah valley In Lower Beechmont 15 mins away is Laurel Cottage which provides an extensive menu and is open most nights and for lunch Canungra is 20 mins down the hill and has a number of cafes and takeaway restaurants (menus in cottage) to choose from There is also an IGA in the town Another place to visit Is Tambourine Mountain just 20-30 mins away where there are many shops and cafes, restaurants and tourist attractions If you feel like a drive O’Riellys around 1 hour 15 mins away is worth seeing you can feed the parrots or go for a walk on the suspension bridge and have a bird’s eye view amongst the tree canopy There is a good cafe there to quell your hunger after a walk amongst the trees Every third Sunday of the month we hold the Beechmont Markets from 8 till 1 pm a lovely way to spend a Sunday morning there are a variety of goodies for sale and many friendly faces! … and it is conveniently located just across the road from the cottage!
