We are located in north central Detroit near Woodward Avenue, a few blocks north of the historic Boston Edison Neighborhood about one mile north of New Center & Midtown. We give preference to guests who have prior Airbnb recommendations. ROOM INFO: The lovely "Blue Room Suite" decor harkens back to the early 1900's, when the home was built. It offers a comfortable Queen-size bed with windows opening onto the back yard, a spacious closet, and PRIVATE OFFICE with desk and windows facing the front of the house. Although guests are welcome to use the household kitchen and refrigeration, the office also provides a mini-fridge (unstocked ;-) ). We do not currently have air-conditioning, but there are ceiling fans in the room and windows to help circulate the airflow. Enjoy the entire house and the peaceful, shaded backyard, as well. Not for couples. With others living in the house, not the place for romantic getaways. Guest access Guests have full access to the house and yard, with the exception of the other private bedrooms. During your stay I'm happy to help whenever needed. Other things to note 1) A commitment to COVID-safety is required. If you don't take Covid seriously, please look for other housing options. This includes being fully vaccinated and wearing a mask in public situations. 2) We also strive for an Eco-friendly environment, so guests are requested to happily participate in recycling, composting, energy efficiency, and MINIMAL meat-eating in the house.
