With the original breezeway lanai and signature walls of glass, it is indoor / outdoor living at its best. The house features a free-flowing floor plan, walls of glass, gleaming tile floors, modern decor, and heavenly beds. It is actually three houses in one, with the open-air breezeway connecting the main house to two stand-alone casitas, offering space to spread out with a large group. The property includes a luxe private backyard pool and spa area with lots of shade, lush, tropical landscaping, a vintage tiki bar, a large outdoor sofa, chaise lounges and a ‘cocktail grove’ with mature grapefruit, orange and lemon trees. You are welcome to pick any of our fruit for cocktails and cooking. Views of the San Jacinto mountain range and swaying palm trees abound. Less than a mile from the world famous Palm Canyon Drive. DETAILED DESCRIPTION There are five bedrooms and four bathrooms split between the main house and two separate detached master suites (the ‘Blue Room’ and ‘Casita’). The detached suites are a unique feature and offer additional privacy for guests. The Blue Room has a king bed, en suite bathroom, walk-in closet, and kitchenette with mini fridge. We personally love the Blue Room for its lovely morning view and for being able to drink coffee in bed without having to leave your room. The large, newly remodeled Casita has a king bed, classic Malm-style freestanding gas fireplace, living room space with new "63 flat screen TV, Xbox, original bathroom/shower and cozy patio seating area. When we host friends and family, everyone fights over who gets to stay in the casita. The main house has three bedrooms, lovely polished tile floors, floor to ceiling glass walls, a large table for hosting, two newly remodeled bathrooms and a thoughtfully-appointed gourmet kitchen. We love to host and have stocked the kitchen with everything you need to cook fantastic feasts (or just order in). There is a second full-size fridge in the garage for extra food and drink storage. There is super fast high-speed WIFI throughout the property, three new Samsung smart TVs with house accounts for Netflix and Hulu, and an Xbox. There is also a record player and vinyl collection. Our outside area features an elegant pool and spa, tiki bar, large outdoor sofa, chaise lounges, two large moveable outdoor umbrellas, a covered pergola for outdoor dining, and a new Weber Genesis gas grill. At night, gather under the fairy lights and around the fire pit for a bit of warmth and stargazing. Our guests always comment on how beautiful the pool is, and we agree. It is surrounded by leafy landscaping - palm trees, flowering bushes, large rocks - which makes the pool beautifully shaded and oasis-like. THE LOCATION Driving is completely optional while staying at this property - conveniently located in the popular Tahquitz River Estates neighborhood. You'll be less than a mile from the world-famous Palm Canyon Drive, close to both the South Palm Springs Business District and the bustling Downtown area. Grocery stores, fine dining, casual restaurants, nighttime entertainment, and some great coffee shops are all just a 15-30 minute walk or an easy Uber ride away. This really is the ideal location for those who want to be close to everything - but removed from the hustle and bustle of Downtown. Important: The City of Palm Springs has sound ordinances that are strictly enforced. This home is ideal for a dream vacation and relaxation but is by no means a “party” house. Each guest is expected to be as good a neighbor as the owners themselves. Please Note: - No pets - No smoking - Minimum age to rent is 25 years old - House is not child proof; the pool is not separated from the house, may not be suitable for small children - Any commercial photography or filming requires pre-approval and additional fees - Front/side of house security cameras and a Ring Video doorbell are present on the property Taxes & Fees - Cleaning fee is $475 - Optional pool & spa/hot tub heat is $69/day Be a Good Neighbor Please review the last photo in our listing. This home is ideal for a dream vacation and relaxation but it is not a “party” house. NO MUSIC or SOUND (TV, cell phone, radio, etc) are allowed outside the house at ANYTIME. This includes music and/or TV audio coming from inside the house that can be heard outside. QUIET TIME is between 10pm and 10am. Please consider moving indoors after 10pm. Voices carry at night in this quiet neighborhood, particularly near the pool. If you choose to be outside, please be considerate of our neighbors and use low voices. ***Noise violations are monitored by Code Compliance Officers from the City of Palm Springs.
