We invite you in. Into our cozy, beautiful, living space. Please note that we have an inside, outside cat named Felix who LOVES attention. Behind our home you will find a nice patio with a pizza oven and bbq area (Argentina parilla style!), surrounded by a grassy yard. Beyond this manicured yard, you'll find our micro-farm consisting of a young fruit orchard with about 25 different types of fruit trees including stone fruit, olive, citrus and avocado. We also have a large vegetable garden growing in raised beds. Enjoy the fireplace on winter evenings, fire up the pizza oven to try your hand at homemade pizza (ask about this...$45 fee for wood & cleaning), enjoy dinners in the backyard at the large family table. We are travelers, artists, cooks and lovers of nature and you will feel it in our home. Discover the best our Central Coast life style can offer! There is a reason why San Luis Obispo has been elected the HAPPIEST place in the country! All of the gardens and chickens are part of Jonas Shares Joy, a project for Jonas, 19, with special needs, who delivers fruits and vegetables in the neighborhood and sells them on some mornings! Noah (14) from France visits on vacations and is interested in meeting other children from around the world. We are a mixed couple, aiming at bridging worlds. I, Cindy, am a Californian through and through, born and raised right here on the Central Coast. I love these hills and this wild coast and can recommend hiking trails, restaurants and the best beaches. I am passionate about traveling and understanding people. I speak English, Spanish, French and limited Italian and American Sign Language. I, Cédric, am a multi-discipline artist from Paris, France. I grew up in the vineyard blanketed hills of southern Burgundy and have lived and traveled around the world from Provence to India, from Brazil to Mexico, from West Africa to Burma, Pakistan and... in California. I love tackling cultural differences and other languages and I speak French, English, Portuguese, Spanish and some Italian and Urdu/Hindi! Apart from Casa da Fe, together we run BlueStoneBlueOcean, where we produce cultural immersion experiences, including hosting unique, meaningful and memorable trips in the States, Europe, and Latin America. ___ We welcome you to: Our House of Hope, Home of Happiness, Center of Art and Expression! Guest access You'll be able to share the common areas: kitchen, living room, office area, and the back yard (including a space for an evening fire or a bbq) During your stay For the past five years we have hosted travelers from around the world and more than anything else, we have loved hosting, chatting, hearing their stories, sharing food and sharing our space. We are often around, working from home or working in the garden and available to answer questions, give recommendations and advice, or share a cup of coffee. If you're coming here as a retreat, we fully appreciate the need for respite and privacy and follow your lead to respect your level of interaction.
