Description

The Redsides Legacy Retreat is a phoenix rising from the ashes of the Holiday Farm Fire of 2020. The main house burned, but this charming studio apartment remains to keep the beauty of the property alive. This studio has a king size bed, a full bathroom with tiled walk-in shower, and a hotel style kitchenette. It’s a perfect space for a couple on a restful weekend, or just passing through. River access makes it perfect for fishing, splashing or enjoying the view! The space This charming studio apartment is a second story dwelling above a garage. Guests will not have access to the garage but have full use of the apartment and the yard that extends all the way to the Mckenzie River. There is access to the river on a shallow side channel that meets the main channel in front of the property. It’s a beautiful spot for fishing, splashing or enjoying the gorgeous view! The fishing is great here where the channels come together, just down stream from where the South Fork flows in to the Mckenzie. It’s also the perfect place to put your kayaks in the river and have fun in the Redsides rapid just downstream from the house. It’s a class 3 rapid known as a play wave for experienced kayakers. The property burned in the Holiday Farm Fire of 2020 and continues to be a work in progress. The owners are bringing it back bit by bit as they can in order to restore the beauty. They ask that you leave things as you find them and honor their process. We ask that you avoid the foundation that remains in front of the studio for your own safety, but you are welcome to enjoy any other area of the yard and riverfront. There is a small outdoor dining area in front of the apartment with a table, chairs, and a small charcoal BBQ for use when the fire danger isn’t too high. The studio consists of a king size bed, a couple of dressers and an area to hang your clothes. There is a nice full bathroom with a beautiful tiled walk in shower. The kitchenette has a sink, microwave, mini-fridge, and a coffee maker as well as a small table for dining. There is plenty of seating and a small TV. It’s a cozy, unique space for two people and an approved pet to stay while enjoying our beautiful area or just passing through. Guest access Guests have access to the entire studio apartment, but not the garage below. They have access to the full yard all the way to the river, but we ask that they stay off of the foundation that remains in front of the studio for their own safety.
