This quiet, spacious, and sunny SE Portland 1-bedroom apartment features a queen-sized bed, big couch, 85” TV, music decor, entertainment, work space, dining room, bathroom, W/D & fully stocked kitchen with ALL the gadgets! This is my home when it’s not being rented so it’s cozy, has lots of light, music decor (lots of Radiohead), light-darkening bedroom curtains and an overly stocked kitchen with all the essential and non-essential gadgets you might need. Sous vide? sure thing, sourdough shaping bowl? why not, pasta press? yes! Ice cream maker? Ready to go with a bowl in the freezer already! We are not your average Airbnb kitchen! We have everything you might need and more for an incredible Thanksgiving feast or a ridiculous amount of take out. If you’re in the mood for a movie night our gigantic 85” 2023 Samsung TV, named Bertha, should do the trick along with our great selection of DVDs and streaming services. Enjoy your morning coffee on the heated covered front porch, along with a joint and some fresh organic eggs from our backyard flock, The Chicken Schitts (if they are in the mood for egg laying and lately they are just freeloading), work from the desk where you can watch the hummingbirds feast, or check out our gold records, tour posters and other music related adornments hung throughout. The neighborhood is extremely walkable (walk score of 96) with the perfect Portlandy bars, restaurants, arcades, vintage stores, record stores and pot shops just steps away, yet we are in a very quiet location. We have everything you need for a beautiful stay. THE APARTMENT: STOCKED KITCHEN: Everything you might need and more to host a Thanksgiving feast. Homegrown homemade organic spices in the fridge! 8-person fiesta ware plates, bowls and mugs, Kitchen aid Pro mixer, Samsung Fridge with ice maker with access to the freezer top shelf (but not bottom), Samsung dishwasher, we usually have organic all purpose flour, organic bread flour, yeast and organic sugar on hand in the fridge but sometimes these get used up before we can refill - you can check with us to be sure, salt and pepper grinders, oils and vinegars basket, blender, hand beaters, chopper, sous vide, ingredients scale, measuring cups & spoons, knife set, cutting boards, mortar and pestle, cooking utensils, muffin and tin pans, cookie sheets, spring form pans, glass mixing bowls, pots, pans and lids, foil, paper towels, zip lock bags, oven mits, peelers and more! Kitchen Gadgets: air fryer, ice cream maker with bowl already in the freezer, tortilla bowl maker, cheese grater, spiralizer, air popcorn maker, microwave, can opener, wine opener and more. Please confirm with us if there is a specific item you require for your food masterpieces so we can ensure it’s available. Sometimes things disappear or break so items listed are subject to change. We do take pictures before each guest arrives of all the current gadgets. Coffee station: French press, pour over, kuerig, coffee pods, kettle & tea. We, however, recommend Never Coffee or Kind Coffee just 2 blocks up the road for the true Portland coffee experience. There is a curtain on the outside of the kitchen window, as seen in the pictures, to maintain privacy. LAUNDRY: There is a small 2.5 CU ft washer and 4.0 CU ft dryer behind the curtain next to the fridge. We also try to provide non scented soap & softener, smelly beads, oxi clean powder and dryer sheets. Laundry products subject to availability. Do not fill the washer more than 80%. Dying clothes in the washer is not allowed. Please do not use the machines from 10pm-7am. This 100 year old house doesn’t do great with sound and Farmer Barb needs her beauty sleep downstairs! BEDROOM: Ceiling fan, queen-sized bed, with sheet set, comforter, quilt, 2 pillows, and 2 more pillows located in the closet. Dresser, 50” Samsung TV, work desk, mini-split AC and heater, closet, hangers, iron, ironing board, luggage rack, bed side table, laundry basket, and light darkening curtains. LIVING ROOM: Big couch, 85” TV, ceiling fan, side tables and lamps, sun filled reading nook, black out curtains for movie days, breakfast bar, Prime Video, Hulu, Netflix, HBO, Paramount + CBS + Showtime, DVD player & dvds, decks of cards, Banana grams, Skip Bo, Splendor and Taboo! If there is a specific game you’d like to play please confirm with us so we can ensure it’s available during your stay. DINNING ROOM: 4 person dining table, bar accessories, mini-split heat/AC, ceiling fan, emergency escape ladder, egress window, Note to optimize the sunshine, there are no curtians on the windows in the dining room but there is privacy screen. BATHROOM: Bathroom heater and fan, shower and tub, 4 luxury bath sheet towels, hand towel and wash cloths, bathrobes, hair dryer, travel sized shampoo & conditioner (if available) Rainbath body wash, hand soap, make up wipes, tampons, tums, first aid kit ++ PORCH: Heated covered front porch: Enjoy some outdoor space on our spacious front porch. Please note that we have guests downstairs sometimes and you may hear them in the courtyard below while on the porch. Please keep noise to a minimum on the porch especially post 10pm per our quiet hours. Our neighbors and other guests will appreciate this greatly. POLICIES: CHECK IN & OUT POLICY Check in is at 4pm and check out is 11am. Code will reset after check out. We do our absolute best to honor early check in and late check out requests. Same-day early check in or late check out requests cannot be accommodated and we can only confirm if an early check-in is available the day prior to your stay as it depends on our team and booking schedule. POT POLICY: We’re pot positive and guests can enjoy outside under cover or under the big beautiful sky on our newly renovated porch. We ask that guests do not smoke inside as our smoke detectors are very sensitive and setting off the smoke alarm will set it off for the whole house, including other guests and Farmer Barb’s unit. We also do not allow cigarettes, spliffs, blunts or other tobacco used on the porch. We tried to allow pot inside for many years but it became too intrusive for guests and honestly scary for co-host Ol’ Lady Farmer Barb who lives onsite. If the smoke alarm is activated we will reach out in the app messages and/or knock on the front or back door to confirm there is not an emergency. If the smoke alarm is activated more than once due to smoking you may be asked to leave without a refund. Note that seating outside of the covered section maybe wet if we’ve had recent rain and the humming birds may chirp at you. Uncovered outdoor furniture is not available in the winter, roughly November-April. The outdoor heater is activated from 9am-1am each day. If you use the heater during this time please turn it off after you’re done. INDOOR SHOE POLICY: Our fir floors don’t take kindly to heels and to keep things nice and clean we ask that you take your shoes off after entering. There is a shoe tray where you can keep your kicks. NOs: Parties, 3rd party bookings, indoor smoking, cigarettes, shoes on inside, unauthorized additional overnight guests and pets are prohibited. Additional overnight guests after 2 people will result in a $100 per night per guest fee. Our fir floors don’t take kindly to claws or heels but we do have a 2 person pot positive dog friendly Schitt’s Creek themed Airbnb hotel room downstairs, The RoseBud & Barkfest. PLANT POLICY: We love plants! But they do need us to take care of them at times. For stays longer than 2 weeks we may ask you to water the plants or with your permission we can water the plants during an agreed upon time. Otherwise please do not water the plants but let us know if you think our green friends need some love. LOCKED ROOM POLICY: The locked storage room and back of the house are off limits to guests. There are cameras behind these doors that record motion and sound 24/7. NOISE POLICY: Please keep noise to a minimum in the courtyard especially post 10pm per our quiet hours. Our neighbors and other guests will appreciate this greatly. We also host guests downstairs and you may hear guests in their courtyard. PORCH ACCESS: On rare occasions, Farmer Barb, who lives downstairs may receive packages there and may need to collect the mail. We do ask that all our packages are delivered elsewhere, but instructions are sometimes not followed properly by deliverers. CAMERA POLICY: For your safety, we have Ring security cameras on the front porch, sides of the house, on the driveway, in front of the courtyard, behind the locked doors, in front of the suite door and in the backyard. Cameras record audio and video 24/7. Any covering of, disabling of or tampering of security cameras will result in booking cancellation. GARBAGE AND RECYCLING POLICY: Please keep non-returnable recycling (cardboard etc) in the pantry next to the fridge. Returnable recycling (it will say OR $.10) and glass goes in the bin behind the main garbage next to the hanging pots in the kitchen in green bags. Garbage goes out every other Sunday and recycling goes out every Sunday for Monday am pick up and collection details are on portlandmaps. There should be a gray garbage can for trash next to the front stairs. For both kinds of recycling you can leave bags next to the fridge. For longer stays feel free to discard non returnable recycling in the blue bin and garbage in the gray bins once it is on the curb on Sundays. Contact us if you need to discard returnable recycling. If outdoor cans are full or you need additional assistance please send us a message. Guest access Guests will access the upstairs home via Airbnb programmed smart lock.
