Description

Your own private farm and earthy retreat with loads of river frontage and glorious views. The Tyers River is fed from Mt Baw Baw snow fields and offers great trout fishing. Sections of the river are shallow in summer and relatively safe for kids. The farm is horse friendly with stables. Outdoor dining and quiet and secluded meditation spaces make this a great option for small groups on retreat. Kayaks, walking tracks. Rawson MTB tracks are a 5 min bike ride. The Walhalla pub is a 25 min drive. The space The house is clean, climate controllable and functional. We operate an eco-friendly property so we have outdoor clothes lines but no dryer. We have composting facilities which are actively used. The main attraction to the property is the wide range of outdoor activities including dramatic, Inst@gr@m@ble views. River activities, bush walking, abundant wildlife, exploring the hills and mountains, not to mention the serenity. Nearby attractions include Tyers Junction, the historic town of Walhulla where daytime mine tours, scenic rail rides and a night time ghost tour can be booked, Rawson walking trails, and the Caringal Scout Camp. Guest access All parts of the property can be accessed by guests (unless the shed/ space is locked/ padlocked Other things to note Other than assistance dogs, regrettably, we cannot accommodate dogs. Large dogs roaming free can easily upset our horse and sheep if they are chased. Small dogs can easily get injured if they are allowed to approach our horse.. Dogs can also be exceptionally dangerous for the local wildlife in our area including wombats, deer, koalas, lizards, and snakes, and dogs are not allowed in the National Parks.
