Nestled on the edge of our 3 acre Walnut orchard, The Walnut Wagon combines rustic luxury with the perfect location. We're right in the heart of Mells, within steps of the award-winning Shop, Post Office & Cafe. The Talbot Inn, Church & Walled Garden are just a few mins walk away, the Mells Stream is on our doorstep and Bath is a mere 25 minute drive. Handmade from oak & chestnut, with a kingsize bed, spacious shower & well equiped kitchen, the Walnut Wagon is bristling with comfort & character. The space The Walnut Wagon is not your average shepherd's hut. With a kingsized bed that you can access from both sides, clever storage and a shower room with a powerful full-sized shower, you'll think you're staying in a boutique hotel. The kitchen has a twin hob and microwave for simple meals in or there's a bbq outside in your own private gravelled garden area. The Wagon is fully insulated and has central heating or you can light the log burner for a truly romantic vibe. Help yourself to herbs from the planters or relax with a pint or a meal at the wonderful Talbot Inn just a few minutes away. With a solid oak frame, handsplit chestnut shakes adorning the front and craftsmanship in every detail, The Walnut Wagon is a timeless haven that you'll never want to leave. Guest access The Walnut Wagon is for your sole use and has its own private garden area with a table, chairs, bench and bbq. There is a pretty cherry tree in one corner along with flowers and herbs in planters. Free parking is available on the driveway. Other things to note We have two very friendly dogs called Bramble and Flint. They like to bark when people come up the drive - but they don't bite! They don't have free access to the drive or area around The Walnut Wagon so don't worry about them disturbing you - but if you'd like to say hello to them we're happy to introduce you! We planted our Walnut Orchard in 2020 during the Covid lockdown. We have about 220 trees along with a separate orchard of apples, plums and other fruit.
