Description

Dingle Cottage is a beautiful grade 2 listed, three- storey house in the middle of an historic terrace built around 1750. Lovingly and comfortably refurbished it is in a quiet part of the High Street but only a five minute walk to the main Swanage beach and the shops. Great for a family but also a lovely getaway for two or three people. The space On the ground floor is a cosy sitting/dining room in the front and a well-equipped kitchen at the back. The enclosed staircase goes up between these rooms. The layout of the house has remained almost exactly as it would have been built and the stair case is steep and narrow, as you might expect. On the first floor is a pretty bedroom with a four-foot wide double bed. Next to it is the bathroom with bath, shower, basin and loo The attic bedroom at the top with its wooden beams and dormer window is actually the biggest room in the house which is why it contains the king-sized bed and single bunk beds as well as a chest of drawers and a couple of places to sit. There is a small, completely secluded sunny back yard – great to eat in on fine days. A useful asset is the extra (fully plumbed-in) toilet in the outhouse.
