A Sunset Chaser’s dream spot! RELAX in our spacious guest house 'castle' in charming Harbor Springs, Michigan located 5 miles north of town, right off M-119 (the Tunnel of Trees). Enjoy our private beach with paddle boards, kayaks, a bonfire pit, deck, BBQ, SUNSETS, Northern Lights and QUIET. WiFi (300 mps), a tv room with streaming downstairs. Sleeping + kitchen & Air Conditioning upstairs. Dogs permitted but 1. MUST BE ON FLEA / TICK CONTROL 2. NO DOGS ON FURNITURE. The space The guest house is 50 ft from the main house. - Free Parking - Private from main house - Downstairs: art studio converted into an office and TV room, cork floors, (set up an easel!), w/d - Upstairs: open studio with queen bed + 2 twin beds in the 'castle tower', kitchen (no oven but PLEASE use main house oven), dining area, full bath, and balcony. - Luxuries include: Boll + Branch sheets, Pendleton blankets, Le Crueset cookware. - Pet friendly! One thing we can not control is Mother Nature! However we have a generator, games, and books if she were to act up! Guest access The whole guest house. Garage (let us know if you would like to park your car or put a bike in it), both decks - one on the beach, one off main house with gas BBQ. Other things to note We have owned the home since 1978 and have upgraded it so it has retained its mid-century charm but has sophisticated exterior pathways and lighting and has been recently painted so it’s fresh and clean. The guest house was designed by my mother in 2006 to match the mid-century modern look of all the original homes on Lower Shore Drive. Her vision was to have it look like a castle as she wanted her grandkids to think they were staying in a castle when they came to town. As a former artists, you will see the tv room / office dons scars of an art studio. Cork floors and paint splatters give it character! Please know - so much joy and love has filled the guest house between artist retreats and grand kids spending summers there. It’s truly a MAGICAL spot!
