Family cottage in Cerniat with south-facing view, unobstructed view of the mountains, for relaxing moments for families or groups of friends.  Authenticity is the key word of this cottage, a haven of peace a little set back from the hectic life of society. Get carried away by the magic of old movies, watch birds with binoculars and listen to the crackle of a cassette. Because here, life slows down and that's precisely what makes every stay in our cottage so unique. The space Beautiful chalet, fully furnished and equipped, ideal for a mountain vacation. To our friends around the world: This cottage, isolated and built according to Fribourg tradition, does not offer the services of a 4 or 5 star hotel. However, you will have the luxury of being alone and finding absolute calm and exceptional unobstructed views, in the heart of Gruyère! On the 1st floor: - A first bedroom furnished with a king size bed (180 x 200 cm). - A second bedroom with a king size bed (180 x 200 cm). - A third bedroom with a queen size bed (160 x 200 cm). - A fourth bedroom with an old single "Capuchin" bed (80 x 190 cm). A collector's bed, it is the least comfortable of all but reminds us of our old chalet. - Bathroom (shower/toilet). On the ground floor: - A cozy, fully equipped kitchen, open to the dining room. It includes everything you need to cook/entertain: a Nespresso coffee machine (bring your own capsules), an Italian coffee maker, a kettle, a stove, a fridge, a microwave, an oven, a raclette oven (raclonettes), a Valais raclette oven (half-wheel), a fondue pot, dishes and plenty of other cooking utensils. - A fondue pot, raclette machine and raclonette machine complete the kitchen. And the latter gives you access to the terrace. - A spacious and warm living room with a desk area as well as a sitting area with sofa and a TV. Some books, CDs and DVDs are available for your entertainment in the evening. - A toilet next to the living room - A beautiful terrace that consists of a covered area and an outdoor area. Facing south, it offers splendid views of the mountains, including the spectacular Brenleire and Folliéran and the Dent de Broc. It's the perfect place for an outdoor meal or a relaxing moment, while enjoying the view. We do NOT have: - Washing machine and dryer on site. Thanks for understanding! This is a typical Swiss mountain chalet and not a secondary villa that offers high-end amenities. Our rates reflect this authenticity by offering a very affordable experience in Switzerland compared to traditional accommodations. We'll give you the address of a local laundromat. - Air conditioning: you won't need it and Swiss laws regulate its use in the mountains. In Cerniat, the air is cool all year round. You can simply open the windows for a moment to create air flow. Guest access The entire accommodation as well as the equipment or accessories are at your disposal during your stay.
