This Historical Home was the original house of Dr. Lawrason Brown, the Resident Physician at the Trudeau Sanatorium. Located on Main Street in the heart of Saranac Lake, this apartment is within walking distance to restaurants, shops, farmers markets, entertainment, lake views, grocery and more! A quick drive to the famous Olympic Village of Lake Placid and only minutes away from Saranac Lake 46er hiking! This charming historical apartment is the perfect landing base for your next ADK getaway! The space My space is a one bedroom ground level apartment with a private porch entrance with a few ascending stairs. You will have the luxury of your own small private yard and porch to use during the duration of your stay. Free street parking is available during the summer months and until 2am in the winter months. There is a parking lot across the street to allow for overflow street parking that we were granted permission to park in if street parking is not available or to utilize after 2am in the winter months. My home is fully stocked including linens, towels, shower toiletries, wifi, and a Keurig coffee maker with coffee! Guest access You will enter the apartment to the left of the house down a pathway leading to your own private porch entrance. From there you will have a few steps onto the porch to be able to enter the unit. The door leads into the kitchen area. The kitchen is fully stocked with a refrigerator/freezer, stove/oven, sink, coffee maker, toaster oven, glasses, silverware, plates and bowls, pots and pans and other household kitchen gadgets. As you walk through the kitchen there is a peninsula with bar stool seating along with a dining room table. This room has a decorative fireplace to add to the historical charm of the house. The one bedroom is to the left of the kitchen and has a queen sized bed. There is a generous sized closet to store luggage or clothing and a screened in porch with a small sitting area that you may use during the duration of your stay. The Living Room is to the right of the kitchen/dining area and consists of two couches (one that is a pull out sleeper sofa), TV, dedicated work space desk, and a decorative fireplace. The sleeper sofa pulls out into a queen sized bed, big enough for two people to enjoy comfortably. There is one bathroom in this apartment. It is complete with a toilet, sink, storage, and a tub shower combo with a sliding glass door. Complimentary toiletries will be available.
