A modern light-filled home with views of the woods

Our modern, light-filled, scandinavian inspired home is a beautiful place to rest while you enjoy the magic of San Diego. The entire front of our home is glass with breathtaking views over the mountains and reservoir below. Neutral decor and warm wood accents provide a relaxing atmosphere and a tranquil setting. The space Melt into one of the cosy beds or sink into the down sofa in the open plan living room that overlooks the valley. Huge glass windows, clean lines and an abundance of light create the perfect indoor/outdoor flow to enjoy your afternoon wine, morning breakfast watching the sun rise over the mountains or just reading a book in bed. Our home offers a spacious master bedroom with a King bed, and queen bed in the secondary bedroom. There is also a pack n play crib and a high chair in the closet in the bedroom if you need one. There is a large 10 foot desk in the living room perfect for a workspace. The kitchen is large and well equipped with everything you need to cook meals: 36" range oven, full size microwave, nespresso machine, enormous fridge, dishes, glassware, cookware and baking gear. There is also a huge island for prepping, cooking and seating for four to enjoy meals together indoors. Our home has an amazing large sliding door that opens up the entire side of the house to the deck to create the most beautiful indoor/outdoor living space, with an outdoor dining table for enjoying meals al fresco in our beautiful California weather. There is also a four person hot tub on the deck overlooking the park that you’re more than welcome to enjoy at your leisure! Please note that very deep cleaning is completed before every guest check in including washing with bleach all linens and towels and disinfecting all surfaces. Our goal is to create a safe and clean haven for your visit. Guest access The house is designed as two private 'pods' that are each airbnb's, separated by a locked laundry room that you both can have access to use during your stay. Your home is completely private. We do ask that you respect our other guest's privacy and don't walk around to their private deck and home, just as they will respect your privacy. PARKING: Just a heads up, the driveway is pretty steep. You'll have a spot to park one car about halfway up the driveway under the house on the concrete on the right hand side (there is a parking sign to help show where), then you'll need to just be able to walk the final 100ft up the gravel driveway to the front door. The views at the top make it all worth it! :) Keep in mind you do have to back down or up the driveway to your parking spot as there is no turn around. Since the top of the driveway is steep and there is no turn around, for your safety and our peace of mind, we simply ask all guests to drive no further than the concrete and park in their guest parking spot provided :) Other things to note Please note, as pictured, there are no curtains on the large front windows in the living room. Because of the home's elevation the house has privacy, but the sunshine does pour in to the living room during the morning hours in the winter. It's really quite beautiful to watch the sun rise over the hill through those windows in the morning! The side sliding door that opens up to the deck has curtains. If you have a baby and need a pack n play, there is one located in the middle closet in the master bedroom along with a high chair. If you do use it please put the pack n play sheet in the bathroom with your dirty towels for our cleaner to wash when you check out. Since our home is available for instant book and same day check in, and to ensure our home is cleaned and ready on time for all our guests, we are unable to offer late check outs, however we can often accommodate an early check in if we don't have same day turn around, so please don't hesitate to ask :)
