Chateau SalMichele is a self-catering holiday home in Hartiebeestfontein near Hartbeespoort Dam located on a farm nestled between two of the world's oldest mountain ranges – the mighty Magaliesburg and Witswaterburg, literally a few kilometers away from the Cradle of Humankind in the Magaliesburg Meander. The space Chateau SalMichele has four bedrooms. Two bedrooms are furnished with double beds and the other two are furnished with a single bed. The rooms share one bathroom fitted with a bath, hand shower, toilet, and basin. The interior of the house offers wooden flooring, a spacious room and an open-plan living room with a lovely view of the gardens, and an adjoining dining area with a brick fireplace. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering with all cutlery and cooking appliances provided. Guests can relax with a book in the reading room with its small selection of books. Outside is a braai area and two outdoor seating areas. The property is kept natural with a scene of local flowers and fauna with a dam where the Malachite Kingfisher is a regular visitor. Over 30 local indigenous birds frequently visit the farm, and along with that there is a rare sighting of the Blue crane and paradise flycatchers.
