Seaside Tiny Cabin with Private Sauna in Nature
Description
A dreamy cabin set in a peaceful country garden only a few hundred metres from secluded sandy beaches. Snuggle up by the fireplace and enjoy a cup of hot chocolate in this enchanting oasis of tranquility on the quiet Estonian peninsula, just forty minutes from exciting Tallinn. If you wish, you can care for and cuddle the fluffy chickens (no obligation!) who live on the premises and over summer listen to the crickets singing amongst the lavender beds. The space Info: Chickens have hatched some babies: so may require checking on (daily fresh water). Cosy up in Tailor’s Lodge, a handcrafted tiny cabin set in an old huge 5000m2 private farmstead Rätsepa ('Tailor's Farmstead'). Surrounded by forest (sometimes horses), but only minutes from sandy beaches and idyllic walking trails, this cabin includes a huge private garden, heated floors, air-con, a fireplace (winter only), blackout curtains, hot water and a separate, large wood burning Finnish sauna. The chickens live in a smart automated home - so if you prefer to keep to yourself there is no obligation to visit them! Horses may pasture on the wild meadow next door (walks available to pre book). You’ll have a snug Hungarian-down duvet (for winter) and soft + medium pillows, towels, 140x200cm queen bed, coals, firewood, as well as natural/bio-degradable toiletries. At night the garden will light up with fairy lights and in the early morning you might spot some wildlife. (If you need the sofa bed set up, please let us know ahead of time!). Over summer we have an abundance of herbs growing between the herb garden and greenhouse. The tiny kitchen has a small oven, stove, cafetière, espresso machine, pots and pans… there are bbq equipment and coals outside. Formerly left to ruin over the Soviet era, we have since revamped the gardens with over 40 bird nests, insect hotels, flora and fruit trees. It has become a sanctuary for birds, owls, bats, colonies of quails and also the occasional moose, deer or lynx. Wolves have been heard closeby recently (March) and a bear spotted in the garden (September). The table can be opened up to use as a ‘desk’. Find us at #ecoretreatratsepa :) Facilities are to be used only by booked guests (no corporate events, commercial photography, parties, unattended children etc.). Guests must treat all live animals on the property with care and respect. Any harm caused to animals, whether intentional or due to negligence, may result in additional charges and possible removal from the property. For larger gatherings (including setting up of the outdoor toilet/shower or tent/play area) please ask us for a quote (our neighbour also has ponies). Price is inclusive of the airbnb commission and tax (around 38% combined). Sauna is included free of charge (fair use - for heavy wood consumption please consider replacing some). Guest access You'll have private access to the entire gardens (around 5000m2), which lay out the cabin, the sauna house, herb garden, lavender gardens as well as the chickens home and greenhouse). No pets. Other things to note This is our home away from the city, please treat it and our animals with respect and care. If you spot dates which are not available please get in touch and we can double check. The fireplace is only small - so it’s not meant to use like a sauna stove - rather to enjoy and heat your feet, so please be careful - 3 logs maximum, and never unattended. For use over winter only. Important: over summer horses may be roaming a wild meadow adjourning our plot (where it is possible for you to book walks/riding lessons!). We have agreed for them to use our water for the horses - in which case they might once in a while come to connect the hose in our shed! Do not approach beehives on the far edge of the property. Our farm animals sometimes require care and attention, and like humans they can fall ill or even raise babies. We would be happy for babies to be checked on (fresh food and water), otherwise they might require us or a neighbour to pass by very briefly to top up their food/water (5mins) every other day.
