Cheerful lakefront escape on Vineyard

Come enjoy what the Brooklyn breeze has to offer at our home away from home in the beautiful Irish Hills! Sitting on two lots our cottage most definitely has room for activities, and plenty of parking. Extremely shallow walk-in lake access allows for even the littlest one to splash around safely. Our open dock spaces, and a boat launch right next door allow you to rent or bring your own boat or PWC without the worry where to dock. A lakeside fire pit also ensures a great evening ambience The space Our cottage is located on “Vineyard All Sports Lake” in the heart of the Irish Hills in Brooklyn MI. A two story two bedroom+loft comfortably sleeps 8-10. Upstairs you will find two main bedrooms both with new full size memory foam mattresses. The loft which can also double as another common space also has a full size memory foam mattress and well as a queen sized futon that can be converted at anytime. All upstairs bedrooms including the loft have smart TV’s. Downstairs there is an all season front porch with a twin size day bed as well as smart TV. This space can also fit up to two queen size air mattress if needed. The only restroom is downstairs and offers a stand up shower. The kitchen is small but has everything you need. From full size refrigerator/freezer, stove/oven, microwave, coffee pot, utensils,pots and pans, etc. There is also an enclosed back porch with small dining table and storage area. On the deck there is a wonderful siting area under the pergola with evening bistro lights. Two large sitting chairs, and a table and chair set that can seat five as well as a smaller four seater table. A charcoal grill is also available for use but you will have to provide your own charcoal. Lake front you will have access to our two kayaks and one canoe as well as PFD’s (Personal Flotation Device). Lake side fire pit/seating area, and docking capabilities. Guest access Guest will have full access to the cottage except the two sheds outside which will be locked Other things to note The cottage does have A/C and heat, upstairs and downstairs. There are ceiling fans downstairs but we do provide portable fans for guest upstairs or wherever if needed. There is high-speed internet access for our guest, with a dual band router you can have 5G speeds up to 160 mbps or connect 2G and have connection all the way out to the start of the lake. There are five TV’s in total in the cottage and all are smart TVs, included in your stay you have guest access to (Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Paramount+, and cable streaming) WARNING: Shallow water. DO NOT dive off docks. All children must be accompanied by an adult when outside or near the lake. SWIMMING AND BOATING IS AT GUEST OWN RISK CHILDREN MUST NEVER BE LEFT UNATTENDED WHILE OUTSIDE OR AT THE LAKE FRONT. ABSOLUTELY NO DIVING OFF DOCKS. PFD’s (Personal flotation device) must be worn by any guest that takes the canoe or kayaks out. The renter is responsible to review the rules of the lake with any guest the have during their stay. Guests who book a stay at our Lake house ("Guests") are fully responsible for their own actions and the actions of their guests - invited or uninvited. Guests are responsible for all injuries to persons or damage to property caused directly or indirectly by Guests or their guests or invitees. ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING inside our Lakehouse, or any furniture we provide - including outdoor furniture. Vineyard lake is a 505 acre public all sports lake. We are located right next to the 9.5 acre Vineyard Lake County Park with playground, swim area, and more notably the easy to access boat launch. Several of the local marinas rent boats, PWC, tubes, etc and will bring your rental right to the boat launch. We are also right around the corner from the Vineyard Point beach which offers a small sandy beach great for the kids or just somewhere to explore. Brooklyn is just 5 minutes away and has a big grocery store, hardware store, dollar store and a cute little downtown. The area is full of quaint shops and antique stores. Also put-put and batting cages close by for kids (if you can get them away from lake). You provide your own linens and beach towels. We provide hand towels, some bath towels and kitchen towels. Many people out here love to fish and Vineyard is known for Black Crappie, Largemouth Bass, Rock Bass, Walleye, Bluegill, Northern Pike, Sunfish , and Yellow perch.
