The Prospector - an iconic converted restaurant

Welcome to two acres of mountain paradise on the Arkansas river! Built in 1962, our unique property began as the iconic Prospector Restaurant, serving the Leadville community for 50 years! The building has been converted into a residence while preserving most of the mining themed décor. Please note however, that it is still a little rough around the edges as we continue to work towards our final vision. Large windows in the sunroom capitalize on the the amazing unobstructed mountain views. We have sectioned off an area in the main room, with 2 queen beds. The restaurant's original restrooms have been converted to 2 half baths. The spectacular views can also be enjoyed from the 2 private bedrooms that share a full bathroom. The former bar, with its unique ceiling of ore from the Leadville mines, has been converted into a designer kitchen, with a hammered copper sink, copper backsplash and modern appliances. We have plenty of parking space outside. Trailers and campers welcome! The property adjoins 180 acres of public land and over 3 miles of fishing along the east fork of the Arkansas River.
