Decorated in mid century furniture and decor, we have a definite vibe that will stir you to days past. Biking three amazing bike trails, fishing in Ohio's Mad River, Ohio's premier trout fishing spot, skiing and boarding at Mad River Mountain just 15 minutes away, the amazing Ohio Caverns and our world renowned local candy shop, Marie's Candies! You can't help but fall in love with our little town! The space Welcome to Pop’s Donkey Den! We are honored to tell you that we just won "Best Airbnb" in the annual Logan County Visitor's Bureau voting! We are excited to have you and hope you have an amazing stay! A little about us, and how our name was derived: Our manager and host, Mitch, is an avid donkey collector as you will see through some of the artwork and multiple donkey statues throughout. Mitch also owns the antique and vintage store below and has been collecting donkeys for about 10 years. He started collecting donkeys during his first large antique show in 2013 with the purchase of a diminutive hand blown glass donkey from Germany. That show, and all the shows since (where he’s purchased a donkey) were profitable, and therefore he equates finding a new donkey to good fortune at a show! As you can see, there are no duplicate donkeys, as every one he gets is unique. This leads not only to the name of his store Pop’s Uniquities, but also to the eclecticism of the space he provides here. You will find a book with pricing for any of the furnishings you may be interested in. We try to pick a very diverse and unique way in which we may offer comfort and a bit of nostalgia, and we’d love to send a special piece home with you! We hope you enjoy your stay, and return often! Should you need anything, Mitch is in the store most every day, and can gladly run up or make sure you have something you need. Please take the time while you are in town to stroll through the store, and check out all West Liberty has to offer! We’re sure you’ll agree that our little Hallmark town is wonderful! Guest access You will have the entire place to yourself. Smoking can be done outside in front of the building where there is a vintage ashtray for you to use. Note : if you smoke any substance inside the building you will be charged $1000 for violating house rules, and building laws! Other things to note LONG TERM STAY EXCEPTION RULES Guests staying longer than 7 days will be subjected to exceptions where the house rules are considered. As the host, I will reserve the right to enter the property in order to monitor the space. Guests reserving our space for more than 7 days will be expected to do minor cleaning and upkeep, no differently than they would in their own home. The cleaning fee is expressly for after departure of a guest to ready the apartment for the next guests. Dusting, Mopping, Dishes, Vacuuming, Bathroom cleaning will be the responsibility of the guests during their stay. Cleaning products are provided for this. Trash pick up is on Friday mornings along with Recycling. Renters are responsible for taking the trash and recycling (bins at bottom of stairs) out to the light pole in front of the building. Bags are provided and are in the pantry. West Liberty requires that trash be placed in an Orange West Liberty trash bag and tied off. If you need bags, please text me and we will be sure to get you some in time for trash removal. Extra towels and bedding have been provided. All towels and linens are the guest’s responsibility during their stay. The laundry room is on premise and free. No food is to be consumed within the bedrooms or office space! Food consumption in any other area is fine, but please clean up after yourself if you make a mess. In the event of a spill on furniture or rugs, please notify me immediately within reason. (First thing in the morning if this happens over night). The furnishings within the apartment are almost all for sale as stated in the space description. Guests will be held responsible for damage to, or breakage of anything within the confines of the apartment. I try to provide an aesthetically decorated space and I curate pieces specifically for that reason. Should you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact me.
