Cozy Haven: A Lakeside Cottage Near Acadia

Cozy Haven, a lakeshore getaway on Toddy Pond, close to Bar Harbor/Acadia. The space Cozy Haven is a new year round cottage built in 2020. It is one of 3 Havens situated among evergreens just 100 feet from the shore. Enjoy cooking fresh Maine lobster and blueberry pie in a full kitchen, or grill in the open air on a gas grill. Experience the sun setting over the lake while listening to loons call. The cottages are 7/10s of a mile from Acadia Highway on the way to Bar Harbor. We are 30 miles from Acadia national Park (31 miles from Bar Harbor), 8 miles from Bucksport, 16 miles to Blue Hill, 19 miles from Castine, 28 miles to Belfast, and 27 miles to Bangor (International Airport). So we are strategically located for you to discover the wonders of the Maine coast. The living room is the perfect place to sit and relax after a day of adventure in Acadia or kayaking right on the pond, while you watch your favorite program on a 55" 4K flat screen Smart TV with a Roku streaming Fubo TV (200+ channels - Wireless Internet included 1 Gig Fiber). Listening to the loon calls from the dock or from the screened-in porch gives a sense of tranquility any time of day; especially while watching the sun set over the pond (or Lake 8.5 miles long). Rest comfortably upstairs on a king sized bed in the master bedroom or a double/twin bunk bed in the 2nd bedroom, or a queen sized sofa bed downstairs in the family room that can be curtained off. There is a full bath with shower located upstairs and a half bath downstairs. Water comes from a fresh water drilled well, so reliance on lake water is unnecessary. Guests for our 3Havens have shared private access to the dock and swim platform. Each unit has its own fire pit area and free use of 2 kayaks and a canoe (a waiver of liability must be signed for usage). Because of the cold season here in Maine, the dock goes in the lake the 2-3rd week of May and is removed the 1st week of November. Both Cozy and Toddy Havens share a new laundry facility behind the upper garage that has two washers and two dryers. Facility is available and free for use and we supply the laundry detergent. That facility is open from 3:30pm until 11:59pm. We have put this schedule into place so that our cleaners can do laundry during their cottage cleaning before 4pm check-ins arrive. Cozy Haven has 1 1/2 baths, a full kitchen and sleeps up to 7. Toddy Haven is brand new and is furnished with a full kitchen, 1 full bath, and sleeps up to 5. Rocky Haven is a home away from home with washer/dryer and dishwasher and sleeps up to 8. You can find each of them on Airbnb. No animals are allowed on our properties due to family members with severe asthma issues. No exceptions. Guest access The docks are put in by the 2nd to 3rd week of May and removed by the 1st week in November. Other things to note The lakefront and dock are shared spaces between Cozy, Rocky and Toddy Havens. We recommend that guests use water shoes while wading in the lake. Each of our 3 havens are entirely separate units with their own accommodations; including their own kayaks, canoes and fire pits. It is best to arrive during daylight hours as the private road in (.7 mi.) is unlighted. This is a normal lakeside home phenomenon but one to be considered. In either case, our directions sent a few days beforehand will help greatly!
