Modern 2-bedroom residential home in Corcubión The space Casa Chao was built last 2013 by CreuseCarrasco Studio, on the grounds on an old Tavern. With a surface of 120 sqm split in 3 floors, it has won multiple national & international Awards for its construction and design i.e. Premio de Arquitectura de Galicia, Premio Juana de Vega de Arquitectura, European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture and Premio XIII BEAU (Bienal de Arquitectura y Urbanismo) Española. Conveniently located in the centre of the town, you’re literally steps from the sea, and 3 minutes walking from restaurants, bars, supermarkets, post office, taxis, newsagents, etc. At the same time, the house is 7 min walking distance from the forest, and a nice walk takes you through beautiful views of the village and the sea. This path walk connects with the famous Camino de Santiago. When entering the house you are welcomed by a wide open space. You will find the property equipped with gourmet industrial kitchen & oven (90cm), microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and Nespresso Coffee machine, as well as washing machine and tumble-dryer. The bedroom on the 2nd floor features high ceilings, a 1.6x2m bed, big wardrobes and workstation; there is a nice view of the Calle Antonio Porrúa.There is another room in this floor which serves as an office or guest room, with a wall-to-wall 2.6 meter long desk and a single sofa bed, which could house an additional guest.  The main bathroom is also located at this floor and includes a big shower with sky view. It's fitted with hairdryer. The other bedroom is on 3rd floor; has a 1.4x2m bed, and includes an ensuite bathroom and shower with sky view, as well as a walk-in closet. There is a nice view of the Port from the balcony.   The heating system is Floor Radiant, independent for the 3 floors, with temperature setting on each one. On safety, the house is fitted with smoke and CO alarms and Fire extinguisher. For extra security, the main door has an additional slide door which can be closed mainly by night. Corcubión is in the middle of the rough coastal range of Costa da Morte. For nature lovers you’ll find all manner of explorers, from pilgrims, scuba divers, swimmers, hikers or surfers. Costa da Morte has long been considered one of the tiny treasures of Galicia.  Casa Chao is located on the bay of Corcubión which serves as the backdrop for the Pindo Mountain, the Ézaro Waterfalls, the Finisterre Lighthouse or the Virxe da Barca chapel; all of those spots are less than 20min driving.  With a year-round population hovering somewhere around the 1,000 mark, you will feel a quiet and charming vibe whenever you visit.
