Quiet Villa El Choco National Park near Cabarete

This 16,000 meter property is located on the eastern side of El Choco National Park just 20 min. away from downtown cabarete and minutes from hiking, caves and overlooking La Boca! You'll find yourself soaking in the jacuzzi enjoying nothing but the sounds of the birds and the trees with a fresh breeze from the ocean. Casa Choco is a peaceful and serene setting with two upper houses and a lower house for the staff. **Please note that parties and events require written approval & pricing. The space The two upper houses “El Encanto” and “El Refugio” are connected by a patio at the top of the circular driveway. The main house “El Encanto” has the kitchen, common space, rooftop terrace, master suite with a king size bedroom, en suite bathroom, and jacuzzi. The common space is an open living and dining area complete with fans overlooking the canopy and the prettiest sunrises on the island. Roll up the cortina blinds before sunrise and wait for the show with your cup of coffee in hand! The fully equipped kitchen has a stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, washer/dryer, and automatic coffee maker. The second upper house “El Refugio” is a few steps from the entrance of “Encanto” and has two bedrooms and a full bathroom, with a lovely patio out front. One is a king size bed; the other is a queen. Steps lead from behind the jacuzzi to the amazing rooftop terrace with views of the ocean. More “secret” stairways await you to lead you on paths through the property where you can search for chinola/passion fruit , cajuil/water apple, cocos, guanabana/soursop, custard apples, mangos and avocados. Guest access Guests will have the two upper homes “Encanto” and “Refugio” to themselves, as well as the hot tub, patios and rooftop. Use the walking paths on the property. The staff will be there to welcome you and assist with any questions and are available for guided hikes to the lesser known caves and adjacent mountain peaks. Other things to note Low clearance vehicles will have difficulty with the unimproved road to the property. You will appreciate an SUV or better to enjoy the trip across the lagoa / prettiest pasture you’ve ever seen as it can get muddy during the wet season and there are rocky patches as well. It is recommended to go up the circular driveway on the right and come down on the left. Proceed with caution as the incline is steep and taking it slow is always recommended. There are a nice set of steps leading from the right hand side of the garden house for those who would prefer to park below or if you do not feel comfortable driving up and down a steep incline. There is a grill area, guests can bring their own propane tank or request one ahead of time, and pay on arrival.
