Charming home centrally located in the Westbrae Berkeley neighborhood with local restaurant favorites, natural food markets, cafes and Solano Avenue all within walking distance. Easy access to local transit, freeway and conveniently located across from Ohlone bike trail & BART connecting much of the East Bay as well as a large open grass area featuring a ring of Redwoods and Codornices creek to explore. Your host family lives next door and will help you with anything you need during your stay. The space The private home entrance is along a tree lined brick path. This lovely split level 2 bedroom/ 1 bath home is spread on two floors. The main living area, dining room and kitchen are on the entrance level while the two bedrooms on the second level upstairs flank the full bathroom. There is a small sitting sitting area along the path and a covered front porch with a bench. Most guests utilize the large open grassy area of the Ohlone greenway across the street from the house in their leisure or family activities as well for dog walking. Guest access Access to the laundry room is upon request as it is shared with the host. Other things to note Our family friendly neighborhood has an urban feel to it as we are situated across from a section of the Ohlone greenway & bike trail dotted with colorful art murals along the historic Santa Fe Freight Line where now an aerial line of the BART train (Bay Area Rapid Transit) runs along in its place. You will hear the train passing through the neighborhood. The shared path bike trail is popular with bicyclists, joggers, dog walking and families with strollers. The open grassy area across the street is a great place for guests traveling with dogs to utilize. Street parking is abundant and plentiful. Please only mind the bi-monthly street sweeping signs posted. Your host family lives on the property and is always happy to say hello or help with anything you might need during your stay.
