The space The home is newly renovated, tastefully decorated, and very clean and professionally kept. It has a fully appointed kitchen, open living spaces, and a large bedroom with King bed with hotel quality bedding (down comforter, comforter cover freshly laundered for each guest). This home is actually a two bedroom home, but based on demand, we make it available as a one bedroom! If you are interested in booking it as a two bedroom house (ie, if you have more than two people), either check out my profile or reach out and I will point you to the 2 bedroom listing (which has 100+ reviews, currently 4.95 stars). When booking it as a one bedroom, there are no "shared" living spaces. The whole house is yours and you may choose whichever bedroom you prefer (I show just one bedroom in the photos here, but they are quite similar). I list it this way just to provide a discount if you want to book for 1-2 people only. Please note, this home is in a family neighborhood and we do not permit parties at the house. In addition, the neighbors are sensitive to smoking, so no smoking on the porch or yard. Guest access Guests have private access to the house. Behind the house is a one bedroom apartment that has its own entrance and is rented separately. The two units share access to a laundry room with full size washer and dryer and all laundry supplies. Noise between the units is minimal due to two doors and a small hallway that separate the units but we do ask that you refrain from loud noise that would carry. Due to the proximity of the units, we do not accept reservations with infants or youngchildren as we find the noise can be a disturbance to guests in the other unit. Wireless: High speed wireless internet is provided - speeds are generally above 200mbps. TV: We have a 55" HD Samsung Smart tv in the living room and 32” HD Samsung Smart tvs in each bedroom. These allow you access any streaming service that you subscribe to (netflix, hulu, hbo max, etc) . Additionally, you have access to 100+ channels available through Samsung TV Plus. Parking: You have a dedicated parking spot right just a few feet from your entrance. It is large enough for a normal size car. If you have a very large SUV, it’s also fine but you may need to park with your tires on the grass (which is fine). We’ve had large SUV’s numerous times but just be aware it’s a bit tight! Other things to note Note for summer months ———————————— The temperature here in the Bay Area is very moderate and the house generally stays nicely cool via shading, ceiling fans, and windows. We provide three high powered portable A/Cs for those few days where it is very hot (one for each bedroom and one for the living area). In summer months I set them up in advance. Sometimes a hot day hits unexpectedly - in that case you can set them up yourself (quite easy) or I'm happy to come by! Generally they are not needed unless temps stay above 85, which is rare, but does happen a few days each summer. If you are very sensitive to temp, feel free to reach out with questions! Location ———— Redwood City is ideally located between San Francisco and San Jose, CA, and gives you easy access to major highways (101, 84, and 280). Perfect place for a business trip to Silicon Valley or a longer trip for exploring the fantastic Bay area, Napa, Marin, Pacific Coast, Monterey/Carmel, etc. Less than 4 miles to Stanford Shopping Center, and only 1.5 miles to freeway. Redwood City gets great weather year-round.
