"Slow escape" in the Kalkense Meersen and Donk area

In and around "het Paard Juul": table and bed, kitchen, hammock, terrace with fire pit, underground cinema, wild garden, watchtower, swimming pond,.... and around: 1500 ha of contiguous nature, the Scheldt, old meanders, river dunes, lakes, forests, heath, salt marshes, mud flats, water ponds, the Donkmeer, 165 km of hiking trails, cycling along hunting trails and foot ferries,... for those who love nature, architecture and a laid-back atmosphere. Breakfast with mainly products from local farms included. Other things to note Toilet and bathroom can only be reached from the bedroom via a steep spiral staircase and a corridor; for some guests this may be a problem (the whole "parcours" is private...). In any case, the accommodation is not really suitable for people who have difficulty walking or are looking for the ultimate hotel comfort!
