The Tipsy Pelican calls Frenchtown it's home, a small community in a historic fishing village surrounded by a variety of eateries. The studio is immaculately clean and furnished with everything you need in a relaxing private space to unwind, a workspace for business, or as a home base while exploring St. Thomas and the nearby islands. The space A private parking area surrounded by palm trees sits beside the studio with a dedicated parking spot, if you rent a car. A short flight of six stairs leads from the parking lot to an open shaded balcony with tropical potted plants. Relax in the patio chairs and sip coffee at the café table while watching the island birds soar overhead or enjoy a refreshing drink in the evening under the solar twinkle lights illuminating the balcony. There’s a sand bucket provided if you smoke. Inside, windows cover the walls drawing in a coastal breeze year-round, while vaulted ceilings with exposed beams absorb natural light highlighting the open floor plan. Drift effortlessly to sleep on the comfy king-size bed, raised high on a handmade platform, and let the AC keep you cool, or the ocean breeze keep you dreaming. You’ll have everything you need to prepare the same foods you enjoy at home or to explore new flavors while cooking a meal in this sleek kitchen. Enjoy your bites, whether cooked-in or takeout, on the charming high-top pub table. Take care of business in the calming personal workspace, which features Wi-Fi and a spacious desk. If you decide to stay in for the day, spend time on the cozy lounge where you may read a book, put together a puzzle, play games, or watch TV. Guest access The balcony is shared with the adjacent Crowing Rooster Studio. If you book as a group, there are four studios available in the same building. Message me for details! Other things to note Frenchtown is an easy 6-minute drive from Cyril E. King Airport. The studio is a 5-minute walk from the Edward Wilmoth Blyden Marine Terminal and the Charles F. Blair Seaplane Terminal. Beautiful Brewers Bay is a short 8-minute drive away and offers a beautiful view of the airport's distinctive runway with planes coming in for landing. Food trucks serve local dishes, and occasionally there is a fruit stand. This sandy beach is ideal for snorkeling and is a natural habitat for sea turtles, so expect to see them coming up for air or swimming beside you! Lindbergh Bay features water sports rentals, including kayaks, jet skis, windsurfing, and paddle boards. If you've heard of flyboarding, they have that too! This beach is even closer to the studio, only a 6-minute drive away.
