Description
A gem of a holiday cottage, Ty Coets is tucked away in the Anglesey countryside, not far from the villages of LlanfairPG and Brynsiencyn. Located on the edge of a complex of beautifully converted barns in a beautifully quiet location, surrounded by ancient woods home to protected wildlife such as red squirrels, bats and newts. Plas Newydd National Trust is just across the road – in fact, Ty Coets was originally part of the estate - and the mountain view from the gardens are stunning. The space Vast coach house arched windows flood the living area with light. With honeyed warm stone walls and a lofty ceiling, the sense of heritage wraps you in warmth. Helped along by the cheery wood burning stove. There’s a separate cosy snug area with a sofa, TV and DVD to set up the kids with a film. The kitchen area is well equipped. Cook up a storm facing the views with a glass of wine. That kitchen island is the perfect vantage point for drinks and nibbles with the cook. Convivial meals can be enjoyed at the large farmhouse style table, which seats up to six. Buy fresh, locally grown produce at Hooton's Homegrown and cook a feast. The downstairs double bedroom is ensuite with a shower and has a door leading out onto the patio garden. Such a lovely space to read and relax. Upstairs, you will find two further bedrooms, one with a king bedroom and one twin room. The twin has original oak beams and a glazed view of the stonework - it feels like a special secret place. Both rooms share a well-appointed family bathroom with a deep rolltop bathtub perfect for washing away the day when you return from exploring. Outside, the enclosed suntrap paved gardens wrap around the stone barn. South-east facing and with ample seating, it’s a joy to enjoy a peaceful morning coffee or savour an evening drink. All on one level, it’s perfect for kids to play chase. Our favourite place is by the Summary - A beautiful holiday cottage in a complex of converted barns.
