Family cottage on the beach

Relax and unwind at this spacious cottage with a breathtaking view of Bedec Bay. This is the perfect place for a family getaway. Just beyond the wrap-around deck and landscaped yard is a sandy beach front to explore. The kids can splash in the bay or take a quick drive to nearby Cap Lumiere to swim in the ocean. Drink your morning coffee on the upstairs balcony overlooking the water, or relax in the AMAZING sunroom. Spend the evenings telling stories around the firepit and roasting marshmallows. The space This is a large, 2-story cottage with 4 bedrooms. On the main floor, there is a bedroom with a queen bed and a pull-out couch, with a powder room across the hall. Open concept kitchen and dining, fully equipped with everything you need to prepare your meals, including a Keurig coffee maker. From the dining area, you'll take two steps down into a huge sunroom with seating for the whole family, and a pull-out couch for additional sleeping space. There are lots of puzzles, cards, boardgames and some books to enjoy. Upstairs there are 2 good size bedrooms (one with a crib), a main bathroom with laundry, and the master bedroom/ensuite with walk-in shower. You can walk out onto the upstairs balcony through the master bedroom (please don't lean on the railing). Note - if you plan to use the pullout couches, please bring sleeping bags or bedding with you. Guest access You'll have access to the entire house, with the exception of the storage shed on the front of the house. The lot goes from the trees on the right side of the house, all the way to the tree-line on the other side, with a large field in between, where you can pick wild blueberries. From the back yard, it is only a few steps to the water and you can walk along the beach as far as you can see in either direction. Enjoy watching the gradual change from low tide to high tide and back again. Yes - this is a salt water bay with Northumberland Strait just off in the distance. On a very clear day you can see windmills on PEI. You’ll also be fascinated by the oyster farming in the area - just look out at the bay. Other things to note *This house is for sale, but that shouldn’t interfere with your stay at all. The real estate agent will not show the house to prospective buyers during guests stays.* The property has well water which is safe to drink. There is a heating and cooling unit on the main floor, but it does not cool the upstairs rooms. You will find a couple of fans in the bedrooms which help on super hot nights, as well as the breeze coming off the bay through the balcony door in the master bedroom.
