Description

Welcome to Vineyard Point!!! Please only stay with us if you have 6 guests max including day visitors and 3 cars max including day visitors. Our home faces southwest with breathtaking views over Long Island Sound. Spectacular sunsets are common. Our 4 bed 2 full bath and 1 half bath home is comfortable & casual & has an outdoor dining table, grill & fire pit as well as Adirondack chairs facing the water. We also have two SUP’s and two kayaks. Only two bedrooms have air conditioners. The space Our home was built in 1925 out on a peninsula in Sachem’s Head in historic Guilford, CT. We are literally 10 steps from a private beach and tennis court access. The house is set up with brand new linens and towels in all 4 upstairs bedrooms. Two bedrooms have A/C units (King & Queen). We also have 3 separate living rooms. Two are downstairs with a small den upstairs with a second TV. Our eat in kitchen is fully outfitted with everything you would need and has a table for four as well as 4 additional stools along the kitchen island. There is also a separate dining room facing the water with six chairs. The outdoor patio has a teak dining table for six, two oversized wicker lounge chairs with ottomans as well as a fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs. Guest access Guests will have access to the entire home including 4 bedrooms, 2 living rooms, upstairs den, fully outfitted kitchen, dining room and outdoor patio with 6 seat teak dining table, 2 oversized wicker chairs and a fire pit by the sea wall surrounded by Adirondack chairs. Other things to note Our home is almost 100 years old. Guests should know the house is clean, organized and tastefully decorated. However, the house is far from perfect. Many of the windows do not open. Especially the downstairs windows and many of the upstairs windows facing the water. Our solution is to create a cross breeze by opening doors on both sides of the house as well as windows in certain areas. The house has real charm due to its age, with exposed beams, unique fireplaces and old world stone work. The views from almost every room are stunning and nothing is better than hearing the waves crash on the beach as you fall asleep. Guests should also be aware that there are three Nest floodlight cameras located outside of the house. One over looks the driveway and two overlook the back of the house toward the water. We have disabled the sound recording on all cameras by law.
