This 3 bedroom, 3 bath, home, allows a family or 3 couples the perfect get away, equipped with AC, Chef's Kitchen, beautiful dinnerware, and serving pieces, outdoor eating, Gardens, Hot-tub, Roof Deck with views of Ocean and Bay. Architecturally significant, designed by the acclaimed Horace Gifford, in 1974, modernized by Designer Marc Blackwell, and Eric Reinitz, it is geared for those who love beauty, simplicity and luxury. This is a whole home rental, designed and lived in as a home with all the amenities. Air Conditioning, an off the pool kitchen, with dishwasher, wine and liquids fridge, and ice maker. Gardens, and all aspects of the property are accessible. We are on the east end of Fire Island Pines, a 10 minute walk to the downtown area, a 3 minute walk to the glorious and quiet East end beach, and 1 minute walk to the great South Bay. The neighborhood is very quiet, and is the perfect spot to recharge or invite friends to enjoy the wonderful views and fantastic accommodations. You are surrounded by trees, sand and water. Getting around is largely about walking. There are no cars on the Island, and all the walks are connected by boardwalks. So visiting downtown, is about a 10 minute walk away. The walks on the ocean or the bay are gorgeous, and should all be explored. There are water taxis that come into the harbor on a regular basis, for rides to restaurants or bars, or friends in other communities. Most people come by ferry from Sayville for their stays in The Pines. You may also bring a boat, and rent a slip in the harbor, from the Harbor Master, for your stay. If you're a great boatsman or woman, you can pull up the the end of Sail Walk, on the bay. In that case, you're in the house in 30 Seconds. There is a Kawasaki open vehicle Available for rent for your stay. The house has a chef’s kitchen so if you’re into cooking it’s a great place to do so. Dining is indoor or out, with a stunning dining area outside under a tree. The roof terrace has unparalleled views, and most often a sea breeze that cools on even the hottest of days. There are 4 separate air conditioning units, and the full walls of glass in the living room are treated to keep the heat from the sun at bay, with true comfort at all times. The pool and the hot tub are on separate sides of the home, with tons of privacy, and many places to take oneself for a private nap in the sun or shade, or to read a book or have a romantic tete a tete.
