Each of them is decorated in a different style and identified with the name of one of the founding nuns of the CISTER CONVENT, a reformed Catholic religious order, which was established in Malaga in 1546 and to whom this beautiful establishment owes its name. Other things to note LD Convento Cister – LD Hotels This new boutique accommodation owes its name to the CISTER religious order, a reformed Catholic order, which was established in Malaga in 1546. In the 1700s, eight nuns of this order lived within the walls of this unique space and decided to found the Convent of La Encarnación. The LD Hotels chain wanted to somehow leave what in the imagination could be the reason for the life of some nuns of the time, perfectly represented in a three-dimensional picture of paintings on canvas, which can be seen in the central courtyard of the establishment. The place very carefully restored the original façade through restoration professionals, a sample of modern architecture integrating both styles into beautiful and avant-garde furniture that harmonize perfectly with each other. Some elements of the original building were used in the decoration, such as window covers, main door staves, door fittings and beams, to try to create an atmosphere that would at some point evoke and reveal a little of the building's history.
