This limited-edition camper is built with the original production methods and floorplan to celebrate the anniversary of the iconic 1960’s travel trailer by Shasta. The Retro Camper has been upgraded to include a small air conditioning unit, heating, fridge and cooking area. It has a full size bed, ideally for 2 guests. The Camper is located at Silverlaken Estate on the Silver Lake, minutes from Letchworth State Park. Guests have access to the docks, BBQ grills, campfire, kayaks, Sauna, etc. The space The Retro Camper is located on five acres of glampground atThe Silverlaken Estate, which is on the western shore of Silver Lake. The Silverlaken Estate provides a number of common space shared amenities including: campfire place, BBQ grills, kayaks, docks, Sauna etc. Situated closely to Letchworth State Park, it provides you the perfect opportunity for lakeview at Silver Lake as well as scenic hikes in the Letchworth park nearby. The Retro Camper's indoor amenities include a refrigerator with freezer, gas stove top, microwave, Coffee Maker, Toaster, pots and pans, dishes and cutlery, sizable closet, sheets, and towels. Guests at the Retro Camper has a private picnic table for dining and sitting area in front of the camper. True to the original design, this tiny camper lacks hot water but has a tiny bathroom with a toilet and tiny shower. For your comfort, in the Sauna cabin a few step from your camper, you will find full-sized showers with hot water. The Bed is 52" x 75". • Air Conditioning The Camper stays cool most days thanks to the lake breeze and sun shade. There is also an air conditioner for your comfort. • Heating Options The thermostat for the propane heater is on the wall in the rear of the camper. An electric radiator is also provided as most guests prefer silent radiant heat over propane/forced air heating which has fan noise. Quiet hours are in effect from 9 P.M. to 9 A.M. No parties, loud music, raised voices or screaming kids at any hour. Self Check In Instructions with details for accessing the rental unit, directions, where to park, Wi-Fi password and such are found in the Airbnb app after the booking has been made. Directions The Silverlaken Estate is on a rural road. Please be respectful of neighbors by driving slow on the dirt road to keep down dust. Please make sure you are clear about the directions and know the location of your rental unit before you start your drive to Silverlaken. Do not drive around the neighborhood looking for the estate and never knock on a neighbor’s door to ask where is Silverlaken. The map and directions are very clear, but if you have any problems, please contact your host. Housekeeping Linens are professionally dry cleaned and a starter kit of towels, toilet paper, soaps & shampoo is included in each rental unit. As we do not have full time staff, long-stay guests should know that on-going housekeeping, top up of starter kit items and replacement of linens is not provided, unless additional fees are agreed in advance, before booking is made. Before check out, guests are expected to do their own dishes, remove trash (refuse bins are centrally located onsite) and place used linens in a pile. Green Energy The Silverlaken estate is powered by solar panels. Consider an environmentally friendly approach and use the fans rather than AC when possible and turn off lights/electronics when not in use. Dark Sky Commitment Bring a flashlight as we intentionally limit lighting between the buildings to reduce light pollution and enjoy the night sky. The advantages include an increased number of stars visible at night, reducing the effects of electric lighting on the environment, improving the well-being, health and safety of both people and wildlife, and cutting down on energy usage. Things To Do At Silverlaken Registered guests are warmly welcome to use the following infrastructure (free of charge) found in the common area: Kayaks. In the common area you will find a rack with 10 red kayaks and a bunch of universal fit lifejackets. Consider to bring your own lifejacket for a better fit.
