Relax and recharge among the trees, just minutes from both Fairfax and Point Reyes. Enjoy a peaceful night at home, hike from your front door up to the ridge, or drive up the California coastline— numerous opportunities await you at our serene and spacious getaway. We are located in the exquisite San Geronimo Valley, a 5 min drive from Fairfax 20 min drive from Point Reyes Station 35 min from Bolinas/Stinson beaches 45 min drive from San Francisco 30 min - 1 hour drive from Wine Country The space The house is an open concept 2 bedroom 1.5 bath with a large kitchen/dining room which flows seamlessly into the living room. There is an extra room off of the kitchen, ready to serve as anything from an office space to a yoga room, with a half bath and laundry room attached. With 8 skylights and plenty of large windows, the house is well equipped with natural light and sun, as well as uninterrupted views of the ridge line and the forest. Each bedroom has large, floor to ceiling custom closets. One bedroom has a California King mattress, the other has a queen. Both mattresses are made from 100% organic materials (cotton, wool and organic latex). The house is heated by a remote controlled propane fireplace in our living room. NOTE: We do NOT have air conditioning. The brand new back deck is furnished with two large lounge chairs, and a large dining table with 4 chairs. 200 feet from our gate, our street turns into a large trailhead, connecting with multiple hiking/biking/horse trails and trail systems. We have wifi, and a 55 in smart TV where you can log into the streaming service(s) of your choice. Guest access The house: You will have access to the entire main house and first floor of the property, including a large front patio and a private deck overlooking the ridge. Parking: guests park in our two car parking platform Stairs: While there are no stairs in the house itself, there are 8 stairs (down) from the parking platform to the front door. Lower Floor: The property manager lives in a completely private unit on the second floor (one floor down from the main house). We ask that guests not attempt to access to the second floor deck or unit. The property manager will meet you at the house to check you in, walk you through the house, and answer any questions you might have. She is available during business hours by phone/text for any questions or issues that may arise! **The front patio is for guest use only, but the property manager does need to walk through it to access the stairs to the lower unit** While we love a good party, if you are looking for a spot to throw one, our house is NOT that spot. We love our neighbors and want to be respectful of our peaceful and tranquil neighborhood. Other things to note The house is located at the top of a decently steep hill, so take that into consideration when selecting your vehicle. For example: restored vintage stick shift convertibles have made it to the top, but they didn't like it very much. We recommend leaving those types of cars at home :) Also, Airbnb seems to have placed our property in the “Lake” category, indicating that it is within a 10 minute walk of a lake. This is not true, although there are some reservoirs decently close to us. We love dogs and allow one dog per party. Unfortunately, we are not insured to rent to Pitbulls, and cannot have them stay with us. Two dogs may be considered on a case-by-case basis (size and whether they are hypo allergenic are main factors). We respectfully ask that furry friends stay off couches and beds. We do charge a pet fee which you’ll see added upon booking.
