Cottage on a farm, “Utigard”

Welcome to Utigard. Here you can experience a real holiday in the countryside. Buy fresh eggs for breakfast or milk directly from the cow. The garden is surrounded by beautiful snow-capped mountains with many excursions just outside the door. Welcome to an unique vacation home where you get to experience farm life up close and maybe taste egg and milk from our animals. Utigård is located in beautiful surroundings close to the fjord, surrounded by snow covered mountains and the mighty glaciers in Olden and Loen in Nordfjord. The space Utigard is located in the middle of Olden. Close to both Oldevatnet and the fjord. Surrounded by mountains with endless great hiking options. Utigard is surrounded by cultivated land and the cabin has a screened outdoor area with amazing views. We produce milk and meat and those who have been in Norway for over 48 hours can make an appointment with us and get a tour of the barn and see the animals and how the Norwegian farmer works. The cabin itself is about 50 m2 and contains 1 bedroom, living room with sofa bed, fully equipped kitchen, TV, Wi-Fi, bathroom with shower and washing machine. Our dog Balder walks freely around and is not dangerous. We also have 3 cats that wander around and 10 chickens. You may risk being woken up by the rooster when he gets up. Guest access As a guest at Utigard you have the entire 50 m2 barn at your disposal. In addition, there is free parking next to the stable. If you want to see the other animals, you must have been in Norway for more than 48 hours and you MUST agree this with us so we can join you. This has to do with infection control. If you wish, you can buy milk directly from the barn and eggs from the hens. Other things to note This is a farm where we live and work. The tractor drives here and if you have children you have to take care of where they are at any time. The rooster crows when he wakes up, so you might wake up too. All contact with the animals must be agreed in good time. With the exception of the dog and the cats, they decide for themselves when they want to be petted:)
