Breakfast included. Wifi. Outdoor pool Fire area with grill, disc, flat grill and mud oven available to guests. Heating with salamander. Parking in the complex. SEE MORE INFO AND QUESTIONS BELOW!! The space LOCATION: We are located 80 km from the city of Mendoza (an hour and a half approx.), on the north coast of the Potrerillos Dam. We are in front of the Hotel Potrerillos and Bar Las Palapas, 14 km from the village. To get to the complex, cross a railway bridge and then drive 5.8 km on a gravel road suitable for any vehicle. We are located in an area away from the village to better connect with nature, making the experience more pleasant. OPTIONS FOR GETTING HERE: 1- You can get here by bus from the Mendoza terminal to the village of Potrerillos and from the village of Potrerillos to the domes in a transfer. We have transfer contacts. 2- The most convenient way is to arrive by car to have greater independence. We have car rental contacts. 3- You can also get there by transfer from the city of Mendoza or by taxi/Uber, which can be cheaper but they don't want to pick you up again once they bring you, since it's not close. That's why we recommend our transfers. TEMPERATURE: In the area where we are located, there is a wide range of temperatures. During the day, the temperature rises and it is hot, and at night it gets cooler. IN THE AUTUMN-WINTER SEASON (June, July, and August) WATER MAY FREEZE DUE TO LOW TEMPERATURES AND THIS MAY AFFECT THE RUNNING WATER SUPPLY at certain times of the day. In that case, you will not be able to shower at certain times. We will provide you with two containers of water for cooking and the toilet. Part of the experience is visitors lighting and feeding the salamanders. IN SPRING-SUMMER SEASON (November, December, January and February) IT CAN BE VERY HOT INSIDE THE DOME DURING SUN HOURS, so we recommend coming prepared to spend the day outside the dome (in the common sector that has shade, in the pool or swimming in the dike). SUGGESTIONS: Bring sunscreen, bug spray, a hat, and layers of clothing. In winter, bring a hat, gloves, and warm socks for the extremities and keep the dome and curtains closed when it starts to cool. It is important to keep the salamander on during the night in autumn - winter, feeding it every so often. THE ACCOMMODATION includes sheets and towels, a gas stove for cooking, a minibar, and a kitchen equipped with the necessary utensils. It has no oven or freezer!! The fire area can be used for cooking. We have a small menu of pizzas, empanadas and others, with service to the dome. Kitchen hours are from 12 to 2 pm and from 6 to 9 pm. If you want to cook, we recommend bringing supplies as there are no places to shop near the complex. We are in an area away from the village (14 km) about 30 minutes away. The complex is self-sustaining. The water comes from a slope, so we must use it reasonably. The energy comes from solar panels. DO NOT USE AN IRON, HAIRDRYER, OR SIMILAR APPLIANCES, only computers and cell phones. We don't have air conditioning or a fan. We take great care of our flora and fauna. Cutting branches and plants from the place is forbidden. You must walk on the trails. CHILDREN FROM 12 YEARS OLD ARE ALLOWED and we do not receive pets. At the Nest, you'll be able to enjoy lots of outdoor activities such as trekking, stand up paddle and mountain biking. Also activities on the Dike such as kitesurfing, windsurfing, diving, sailing, fishing and more. We can recommend other excursions such as rafting, horseback riding, canopy and others that take place on the south coast of the dike. We have five other similar domes. If this one isn't available, check out our other options as they may be available. You can find us on IG as @elnidodomos SEE FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS BELOW! Other things to note FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS: Q: What is glamping? A: It's a fusion of the words glamor and camping. It combines the experience of camping outdoors but with certain amenities. It consists of enjoying nature and the freedom that sleeping in a tent provides, without giving up the comforts of a bed, bathroom, and kitchen. Q: Location? A: On the north coast of the Potrerillos Dam, in front of the Potrerillos Hotel and Las Palapas. From Mendoza you can get there by Route 7 or by Cacheuta. To get to the El Nido complex, you need to cross the railway bridge and then drive 5.8 km along a gravel road suitable for all vehicles. Q: Can I get there if I don't have a vehicle? A: Yes, from the Mendoza terminal you can reach the village of Potrerillos by Andesmar bus. From Villa del Potrerillos to the complex is 14 km. Ask about transfers for this last leg. Q: Is the dome private? A: Yes, it is a single-room tent for guests only and is not shared with anyone else. It has a bathroom and private kitchen. Q: How many kilometers is the airport? How much is a taxi? A: The airport is approximately 86 kilometers away. It is convenient to rent a car to be able to get around independently. Q: Is there parking? A: We have private, uncovered parking in the complex Q: Where can we hire excursions? A: At the time of booking, you can ask us about the excursions we have available to recommend. It is necessary to make the reservation in the agencies in advance. Q: Smoking? A: Only outside (not inside the dome) and please be responsible, as it can cause a fire due to carelessness. Do not throw cigarette butts on the ground. We take great care of the place's flora and fauna. Q: Do you allow pets? A: We do not allow pets. Although we love animals, we want guests to enjoy the tranquility of nature and not disturb the native fauna and the care of the domes since they are made of a very delicate material. Q: How can I see all your domes for rent? A: Click on our Airbnb profile (the round photo) and scroll down below the added reviews (on Mobile) or look to the left (on Desktop). Q: Can I check in before 3 pm or check out after 11 am? A: Check-in is after 3:00 PM, as the dome is not ready for entry before then, and check-out is at 11:00 AM, as we need to do the cleaning. However, after check-out, you can enjoy the day at the complex. Q: How do I book? A: Simply book instantly. The reservation is made with a credit card. You can choose to pay in one or two installments. If you send an inquiry, we'll respond promptly, if not immediately. Q: Why is the price so different for my dates? A: Airbnb automatically sets our prices based on demand and seasonality. If you're not searching for exact dates, Airbnb shows the lowest price throughout the season. Q: Can I go for just one night? A: Yes. However, most guests recommend two nights to enjoy all the services and activities. OTHER ASPECTS TO TAKE INTO ACCOUNT: We respect and take great care of the nature, flora and fauna of the place. We have solar panels that provide us with energy, so its consumption must be done during the day and is only enough to charge cell phones and notebooks. HAIR DRYERS, IRONS, AND SIMILAR APPLIANCES CANNOT BE USED. The water comes from a spring and that is why we must take care of it when washing dishes and bathing. For wastewater we use a biodigester and PAPERS SHOULD NOT BE THROWN INTO THE TOILET or foreign elements that may obstruct its operation. We use gray water for irrigation, so it's important not to throw chemicals that could harm the flora into the sinks or shower. We provide biodegradable shampoo, conditioner, and detergent.
