This creates a significantly more air-tight & energy-efficient home. Our builder, Steel Root, is renowned for their design quality & sustainability focus. They have received the Gold Craftsman Award by WNC’s Parade of Homes. Because we are eco conscious, we have left small appliances unplugged when not in use. We also support the One Tree Planted non-profit & will make a donation to have a tree planted for each stay booked. We take cleaning extra seriously during this time & have upgraded our normal housekeeping with both an aqueous ozone and UV-Sanitzer cleaners so you can feel confident about traveling safely. Guest access This is your own private retreat. Enter the staircase to the left of garage to your secluded deck where you can overlook trees, birds, forest critters, mountains, & beautiful sunsets. Keep in mind there is one shared wall with our main home. Please be courteous with basic noise levels past 10pm. Absolutely no smoking of any kind, no parties, pets, or extra guests. Fees will ensue and you will be vacated if these are broken. Other things to note We are musicians with careers who love to travel & have a good sense of little touches that make a stay memorable. In addition to being a teacher, I have over 20 years working in hospitality. We are passionate about design/architecture & lived in SF, NY, and LA before settling in Asheville for the last decade. We are also passionate about health, wellness, & healing practices. You may see our sweet silly dog, Zeppi, frolicking about in our front & backyard as we go on daily walks. She will always be on leash & stay out of your way. The thermostat is controlled on our side of house. Let us know if you need it adjusted. On a nice day, feel free to leave the windows open & you may even hear our neighbor who is a gifted classical pianist. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your visit just right. We can't wait for you to enjoy our forest retreat.
