The space Casa Itza is a charming 70 m² house that can accommodate up to five people. It has two comfortable bedrooms with double beds, as well as an extra bed for a child. There is a fully equipped indoor kitchen, as well as a bathroom with shower and toilet. You can also enjoy a large covered terrace, ideal for sharing your meals or relaxing in the outdoor living room, furnished with a sofa and a hammock. Other things to note Access Access to Casa Itza is a little adventure in itself: an atypical path leads you to the house by crossing two small streams, whose depth does not exceed the knee. It's a refreshing and fun experience, but for your safety we recommend arriving before dark Don't worry: Angie and Daniel will be waiting to welcome you and accompany you during the crossing. In case of heavy rain or flooding, rest assured: a nearby suspension bridge allows you to cross the rivers in peace. Amenities The village of San Rafael has several tiendas open every day, where you can buy everything you need to cook like at home. If you need to make larger purchases, the large Buenavista supermarket is accessible by bus from the main road (about 40 minutes away). Buses run every 10 minutes in both directions, making your trips very convenient for shopping or exploring the surrounding area. Tayrona Park: The entrance to the famous Tayrona Park is just a 15-minute walk from the house. Ideal for exploring beaches, jungle and trails in the morning. To discover around Casa Itza Poza del Amor: From the house, a nice walk through a natural path leads you to the Poza del Amor, a hidden pool in the heart of the forest. The path climbs slowly, and you will be rewarded with a magical place, perfect for swimming in the heart of nature. Los Cocos Beach: This is the first beach accessible from the main road, only 10 minutes by bus. You will find direct access to the sea as well as several local restaurants where you can enjoy fresh fish, seafood and Caribbean specialties in a relaxed and authentic atmosphere. Costeño Beach: About 20 minutes by bus from the main road. Once you arrive at the Costeño Beach stop, you can either walk 15 minutes to the beach or take a motorcycle taxi to get there even faster. It's the perfect place to spend the day between swimming, surfing, good beachfront restaurants, and sunsets. How to get to Casa Itza From Santa Marta Airport: The easiest way is to take a taxi directly to the entrance of the village of San Rafael. Allow about 45 minutes for the trip. Angie or Daniel will be waiting to accompany you to the house. It is also possible to take a taxi to the Mamatoco stop (in Santa Marta), then take an inter-municipal bus towards Palomino. Ask the driver to stop at the "Casa Comunal de San Rafael". From the city of Santa Marta: You can take an inter-municipal bus directly from the central market ("mercado público"). Ask the driver to drop you off at the "Casa Comunal de San Rafael". The journey takes about 1 hour 15 minutes by bus. From the stop in San Rafael, it is only a 10-minute walk to Casa Itza.
