Description
We're back, and looking forward to seeing our regulars and our new guests! Charming room with a king-size bed in a beautiful Victorian mid-terrace house, situated a stone's throw from Preston Park and only short walks to Brighton Station, the North Laine and the sea. PLEASE NOTE: As this is in our home, we are unable to accept bookings from guests with no reviews. Apologies for any disappointment. The space Welcome to your bright and spacious haven in a peaceful Victorian terrace, just a short walk away from the buzz of Brighton’s vibrant city centre. Whether you're here to enjoy the summer sunshine or Brighton's lively winter scene, this room offers the perfect balance of comfort and convenience. The Space Your large, airy bedroom features a luxurious king-size bed, a comfy rocking chair perfect for curling up with a book, a dressing table, and a large mirror. Heavy velvet curtains let you sleep in as long as you want, and there’s plenty of space to unwind. You’ll have your own private bathroom just down the hall, complete with both bath and shower options, and we’ll make sure to supply fresh towels for your stay. To make mornings easy, we’ve provided a small fridge with milk, as well as tea- and coffee-making facilities. If you’re planning a leisurely breakfast, we’re happy to supply bowls and spoons for any cereals you bring along. With regret, we are unable to offer access to the kitchen. And let’s not forget our furry friends: Muffin, our affectionate cat (who will try to charm you but isn’t allowed in the bedroom), and Meg, our adorable Sproodle, who’s always up for a friendly greeting. The Neighbourhood Our home is ideally situated to help you make the most of your time in Brighton. We’re just around the corner from Preston Park, a lovely spot for a peaceful stroll or a laid-back picnic, with events and festivals popping up throughout the year. In just 10 minutes, you can walk to Brighton Station, or it’s a 5-minute stroll to London Road station if you fancy a quick trip to the historic town of Lewes, famous for its dramatic Bonfire Night celebrations, quaint streets, and its stunning castle. If you're in the mood for a bit of shopping or people-watching, the famous North Laine is close by, brimming with quirky boutiques, vintage treasures, and cozy cafés. The area is a haven for pottering around—pick up a locally made candle from an independent shop, then pop next door to browse racks of unique vintage clothing. Rain or shine, Brighton has something for everyone. On sunnier days, soak up the seaside vibe with a drink at one of the beachside bars. If the weather’s not on your side, you can hunker down in one of the many quirky pubs scattered across the city, or catch live music at one of Brighton’s numerous venues. Brighton’s eclectic food scene means you’ll never run out of dining options either—whether you’re craving freshly caught seafood, hearty pub grub, or something exotic from one of the many global cuisines on offer. Extra Info We’re also happy to share local tips on nearby hidden gems, including scenic walks in the stunning South Downs or the best spots to watch a beautiful sunset over the sea. For those with a car, parking is available on the road a short distance away. You'll need the Pay-by-Phone app, and it costs around £6-7 per day. There are also two EV charging points on our road.
