Your chances of seeing deer, bears, turkeys, & hummingbirds are super high! A quiet area is perfect for family getaways & small gatherings. No parties. No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed. You will enjoy the cooler temps in the spring/summer months. Yes, snow in the late fall/winter months. Take your pick of three well-known ski resorts: Beech Mountain, Sugar Mountain, & Appalachian Mountain. Also, Grandfather Mountain is home to a nature museum, trails, and the Mile High Swinging Bridge. Enjoy the large, wrap-around deck with sweeping views, a grill, & plenty of outdoor seating. Bring your own vehicle’s charging cable and adapters. 4WD vehicles may be necessary from November through April, and chains may also be needed during inclement weather. River Run Community allows guests of the property to access the community fishing area in the Elk River. At least one person in your party must wear the provided River Run Fishing Club hats hanging in the family room. There is a $100 fine for a lost hat. Thank you for respecting this requirement in order to keep access open for everyone in the neighborhood. This home is in a quiet, gated community with full-time residents. RVs and trailers are not permitted, and there is a very strict 15mph speed limit on gravel roads. Guest access Guests will have access to the main level and top level of the home, including the covered carport. Guests will not have access to the basement, RV, and shed. Other things to note There is a stairwell to take you up to the top floor, where the second full bathroom and the second bedroom and loft are located. Please note that the property has multiple steps on the exterior and areas where guests must use caution if they have children who like to climb. Guests and guests with children will do so at their own risk. A small shallow rock pond is located 100 feet from the cabin. Guests will need to view the rock pond and never go onto it. The Elk River is about 250 feet from the cabin. Guests and guests with children will enter the Elk River at their own risk. Security Deposit - You may be charged if you damage the cabin and the surrounding property.
