Cozy 2 Bedroom Cottage with Private Beach Access

With brand new queen size beds you will have the perfect respite after a long day. Relax on the large deck with a cocktail in hand before heading back down to the beach for amazing sunsets and s'mores by a fire. In the Autumn and winter sit by the cozy fire pit after a day on the slopes at nearby Peak-n-Peak ski resort. The space This 2022 renovated stand-alone cottage accommodates four adults with ease. The two bedrooms each have original wood floors with area carpets, queen size beds, ceiling fans, two windows opening a quiet yard. Both have ample closet/hanging space, nightstands, and bedside charging points for cellphones. The kitchen also entirely new, with new cabinets, major appliances (refrigerator, gas stove, exhaust fan/light, dishwasher, disposal) as well as new small appliances such a toaster, blender and coffee-maker. Dishes, cookware, stemware mixing and serving bowls as well as the usual small essentials are stocked in the kitchen cabinets and draws. The quartz countertop wraps around the stove and arches slightly so to accommodate four stools to encourage conversation with the cook at the stove top. A new clothes washer and dryer is tucked into the kitchen corner. An efficient work triangle has a rustic tile floor than runs into the nearby pantry and bath. The new bath has a low-rise step-in curbed shower with custom tilework from floor to ceiling, frameless glass panel and temperature control out-of-the-spray of the shower head with ample shelves and towel rods to accommodate four adults. The living room likewise has the refinished original wood floors and area carpets with a sofa and sitting chairs and a wall mounted smart TV as well as a reading nook and small round table at the far end. An indoor sun porch looks upon an open lot next door and permits an escape to a quiet space while still in view of the living room. Off the kitchen is a 12x20 outdoor deck with table and chairs for outdoor dining as well as a gas grill and lounging chairs. A lovely place to relax on a summer evening. In the neighborhood there is much to do. The Alure Cottage has deeded beach access which is an easy 10-minute walk or even shorter drive to Kelso Beach. Kelso Beach has well maintained sandy shores and a broad pier jutting into Lake Erie. Fires are allowed (weather permitting, no on-shore winds) and sunsets on Lake Erie can be breath-taking. Also, within a 10-minute walk is Waldameer Amusement Party and Water World. With both adventuresome rides for the young (and young -at-heart) as well as charming rides like the railroad and cable-car, there is something for everyone at Waldameer. Presque Isle State Park is also walking distance, has much to offer. Here kayaking, canoeing and bike rentals are all possible as well as popular beaches which have picnic tables, charcoal grills, and public bathrooms. Within the neighborhood there are also restaurants, shops, bars and other retail outlets within walking distance or a short drive. Erie has amusements only a short drive, for example the Erie Zoo the Maritime Museum and other sites worth seeing. Especially in the summer there are concerts, festivals, and events often scheduled. In July and August, the Port Authority offers a free concert entitled Eight Great Tuesday. Other things to note For those with an EV or RV, we have a 50 amp 220 volt plug located in the parking spot. The plug type is NEMA 14-50. NOTE: we only offer the power supply, not the cable to connect to your EV or RV.
