Little White Cottage beside a Sandy Beach

As featured in series 10 of BBC's 'Shetland', Spindrift is deal for those who enjoy beaches, walks, birdwatching and dramatic cliffs. 'Spindrift' is a traditional white 2-bedroom cottage situated almost on a sheltered sandy beach. Levenwick is conveniently located on the South Mainland of Shetland, half way between Lerwick and Sumburgh Airport and close to many attractions. It has a regular bus service. From Spindrift you can stroll to the beach, launch boats from the sand and take cliff walks. The space Spindrift is a traditional stone-built white-painted cottage. It is situated metres from a sandy beach so guests can launch boats/SUPs/kayaks by walking them from the property to the water's edge. Swim if you are brave enough! The property benefits from double glazing, electric central heating and fast broadband. 2022 was the first year that Spindrift was let out and gradual improvements have taken place since. Spindrift sleeps 4 (5 by negotiation) plus a travel cot if this is a requirement. I normally block off 1 day before/after each booking for cleaning but this is usually unnecessary at weekends and during school holidays. Unfortunately AIRBNB booking cannot make this distinction so please contact me if this issue is causing problems and I will try to sort this out. Thanks. Accommodation comprises: Small south-facing porch with 4 folding deck chairs. Lounge with leather 3-seater sofa and 2 comfortable armchairs. Smart TV with live TV and streaming channels, such as BBCiplayer and STV player and, for guests with their own accounts you can log into streaming platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Disney. DVD Player Kitchen (upgraded in 2026) with cooker, microwave, fridge freezer, kettle, toaster and all usual cookware, cutlery and crockery. Washing machine. Dishwasher. Shower room (upgraded 2025) with electric shower. Double bedroom Single bedroom set up with sturdy full-sized bunk beds (new 2026). Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any queries. I will always endeavour to answer you promptly. Spindrift is centrally heated by electric radiators that can be controlled remotely. This should keep the cottage at a comfortable temperature. Each radiator can, however, be turned off and the temperature can be adjusted up or down, although this will revert to the preprogrammed temperatures at certain times of day. However, I will try to accommodate shorter stays if possible. Message me with your requirements.
