Central Valley Haven with Sauna

Your very own cottage haven in the heart of the Yarra Valley, surrounded by farmland and abundant nature. Cosy-up in the evenings with the wood fire and rest and reset with your own private two-person sauna. There are country views, free range chickens and a very comfy king size bed. When we can, we love to provide homemade bread and eggs from the chooks. Located in the heart of the Yarra Valley, with Lilydale, Yarra Glen, Healesville and Warburton all 15-30 mins away by car. The space Accommodation is a beautifully rustic self-contained mudbrick cottage. It is ideally suited for couples, with living areas downstairs and a large mezzanine bedroom accessed up the spiral staircase. The north east facing garden catches the sunrise so you can sip your french-press coffee bathed in golden morning sun, and set yourself up for a great day. As we welcome in spring, guests are invited to hit pause with an all-afternoon picnic (full set provided) and valley views from the comfort of the cottage garden. Or pack-up and head out to one of the valley's many beautiful picnic spots. (We love the Redwoods in Warburton - be sure to check out the The Flying Apron Patisserie in Wesburn en route.) Walk to the Warramate Hills Nature Reserve, or take the 3 min drive to the Warbuton-Lilydale rail trail. The nearest winery, Killara Estate is also a 5 minute drive away for great views and pizza. (please note the cottage is situated behind our main house - you might hear our kids playing, but we like to keep to the front of the property where possible to give you privacy to enjoy your stay.) Guest access You will have your own parking and full use of the cottage to yourself. There is also a wonderful area to sit, have a BBQ and enjoy the views towards the chicken coop and valley beyond. The garden surrounding the cottage behind the main house (approx 1/2 acre) is yours to enjoy. Other things to note Enjoy your stay! Changes to arrival and departure times are possible by arrangement. Guest use of the sauna is permitted up to one 90min session (inc. 20-30 min warm up time) per day. Sauna must be left in the condition it is found in and towels for the sauna are BYO. One initial load of firewood is provided to get you started. After that it's BYO. We recommend booking taxi's or tours ahead of your visit. Please ask for recommendations.
