Double + single room in spacious, Soho apartment
Double + single room in spacious, Soho apartment
Description
Located across two floors the spacious accommodation is surprisingly quiet, given that it is right in the heart of one of London's most vibrant neighbourhoods. Giving views onto leafy gardens and the historic tower of St Anne's Church, the apartment is both homely and stylish. With high ceilings, super comfy beds and a choice of showers in the morning, it is the home and work-base of one man and his dog, both of whom are ready to welcome guests to some home comfort while away from home. The space The Double Bedroom is light, spacious with a very high ceiling. It has plenty of hanging space, suitcase storage and a comfy armchair to flop in whilst deciding where to go next. With a hypo-allergenic duvet, crisp Egyptian cotton bedding, fluffy towels, the firm mattress is crowned with a mattress topper which everyone seems to love. The Single Bedroom offers drawer space as well as hanging space and wooden steps up to an elevated bed platform... friends have nick-named it the 'Princess and the Pea' room! On the entry floor, a bright wood-floored reception area (with cloak room and umbrella holder) leads to the spacious dining-kitchen, laundry room, lavatory and a formal dining room. Upstairs there are two showers, bath and lavatory on the bedroom level. Recently redecorated, the interior décor ranges from Asian shadow puppets and masks, animation art, to ecclesiastical ephemera and antique engravings... you will also find fascinating references to the owner's background in film and television. Guest access The apartment is accessed through the smart modern entrance of St Anne's Church. A dongle system at two doors leads to a lift to the second floor of the building, from where just six steps lead to the front door of the apartment. Within the private apartment a staircase connects the two floors. In the apartment, guests have full use of the bathroom and shower room, are welcome to use the kitchen to make drinks and snacks (using the fridge, microwave, oven, toaster etc) and to use the dining room to eat in. I'm happy for guests to use the washing machine too, along with things like the iron and ironing board... basically if you need anything just ask, and if I've got it I'll be happy to share it! During your stay After check in I'll be as present as I think you want me to be and try to respect that balance between being friendly (and helpful) to people sharing my home and respecting their privacy. I know it's my home (and maybe my dog) you've come for- not me! Other things to note I have a Springer/Cocker spaniel cross, Bella, who was born at the end of January '22. She's very friendly, affectionate and mostly well behaved! I advise guests to keep their bedroom door closed if they don't want to be woken up by licks and tail wags in the morning.
